Headed here for a late lunch. Now we know they have closed since our visit, and it all makes more sense. The staff seemed to be ambling about, meh service. Our meal was fine, but while my husband's was a large portion, my salad was small for a full-size salad. Pretty building.
Food Works has been a mainstay in downtown Chattanooga for nearly 2 decades. I have loved every meal we've had there, and have been happy to use them for so many events I've lost count - my rehearsal dinner, my wedding reception, funerals, birthdays, out-of-town guests, company Christmas parties, nearly every Porsche event I ran, Oktoberfest for the PCA - the list goes on and on.It will be heartbreaking to see it close, and I can almost assure you that it has to do with...
Unfortunately, it was our first time there and it was fantastic only to find out that they're closing in today. May 26 is their last day in business. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was terrific, and our waitress (Sutton) was outstanding. I'm just sorry that Chattanooga is losing what we've discovered to be such an excellent restaurant Jamie.
