We had reservations for Feb 15th, made last November, for a Galentine's celebration. The page shows temporarily closed but on Open Table you can still reserve in the upcoming weeks. Glad I saw the temporarily closed on Google because there was ZERO communication from the tea house with a confirmed reservation and it would've been a terrible experience to drive two hours only to find out they were closed. While I hope, everyone is okay, this is incredibly disappointing and ruined mine and my friend's plans.

This was the first time trying this place out and went there for a wedding reception. The tea that deserves was exceptional and also where the pastries. It has a Victorian vibe to it and I love that this place is an older historical. I highly recommend trying it out as it's a unique place here in Chattanooga.

Such a lovely experience. We took my mother the day after Thanksgiving while she was in town visiting. The entire building is gorgeous and especially so since their holiday decor was up. We were greeted immediately and seated for our reservation. Our server, Noah, was attentive and accommodating. Everything we tried was very good and they even had several holiday themed drinks and dishes on offer. A delightful experience overall, we will definitely be back and highly recommend this tea house for a fun, unique, and delicious afternoon.

We had a party of 10 and it was such a great experience! Everything we ate was delicious. We tried several teas and that was a fun and tasty experience. Staff were excellent. We cannot wait to go back!

I was a little bit disappointed in this experience being there for the first time. It appeared that there was only one person waiting tables & so it took quite a while to get tea & food. The food was so so & maybe it was because I just ordered a sandwich & soup. I think if I went back I would get the tea service with small sandwiches & other items. The decor was pretty but seemed a little plain & all white. Not sure if I will be back.

What an absolutely lovely tea/luncheon we had celebrating my mother's 90th birthday! Delicious food, perfect service by very friendly attentive server, and wonderful chat with the manager. We also always enjoy supporting a business with a mission, theirs helping women and children with specific and often emergency needs. I will look forward to going back there!
Our server must have been new or something he wasn't able to speak about the menu much when we asked questions. We were sharing two different samplers and had to ask for small plates to eat from. But this was all more the experience and the environment which is spot on. The food, once we received it over 25 mins apart from one another was good. He did apologize for the delay. All and all we would try it again. .

Enjoyable experience. Food, service and ambiance were very good. The room that we were in for Saturday lunch was rather noisy due to several large groups of people. I would definitely recommend.
Food and drinks were great. However, a server (not ours) stopped by our table not once but twice with food that wasn't ours, presumably someone else's order. Since she interrupted our conversation both times this was slightly annoying.
this experience was so amazing ! the staff was so sweet and patient with my family , especially because we had no clue how to order and what to get ! we were suggested the royal wedding tea and it was AMAZING! the food was also so good ! i'm already planning to go back because I loved it so much . thank you guys , it made my daughters birthday awesome this year !
Genesis house of tea was incredible!! I decided to visit and celebrate my mothers birthday with a tea party, last minute my husband and son decided they wanted to tag along so the staff at genesis made it work for us and gave us a wonderful experience! The food was amazing, peach tea omg, and the pastries don't even get me started. I will be returning and would highly recommend anyone to visit genesis house of tea my 5 year old son absolutely loved it and wants to return!
