A big group of us had a terrible experience at a bar down the street so we left there and headed to Hair of the Dog. They weren't expecting a group that size, so they had limited staff, but it didn't matter because the bartender, Valerie, was so awesome...she had no trouble keeping up and was super helpful. I loved the old-school atmosphere and the Bavarian pretzel was really tasty and hit the spot. Well done, Hair of the Dog. The next time I'm in Chattanooga, I'm definitely coming back.

Came for the England v Norway match as a first timer to the pub, and I think I’ve found my new favorite drinking spot. Great people, great staff. The food was incredible. Definitely need to come back and try more food next time but I’m definitely going back. PLENTY of parking in the garage next door, and pricing was great. Will definitely be back again

First stop on our mini vacation. Only 3 sets of people in the whole place, service was good, food could have been a tad hotter ( Ruben Eggrolls).
Was very shocked they allowed smoking! We opted to stay since no one was smoking.
Would not have on my revisit list.

Avoid avoid avoid !! Truly awful place … rough rough rough with easily the rudest bar manager I have ever come across !! Smoking in a small bar area didn’t help but the locals in there were like a freak show !! The fact it has a British flag on the door is an insult to The Uk frankly !!

We love the Hair of the Dog! Their apps are great. Love the corned beef egg rolls. It’s a bar so expect a bar! Ash trays on the tables. Great group of people! We were there at lunch so it was quiet and easy to talk.
Nice small place. Right downstairs with free parking limited but available. Two t.v.s, bar food and lots of drink choices.

I enjoyed a singular tequila soda in the sunshine for $3.50. tipped 100% - and I was delighted, nay, OVERJOYED to transfer it from my purse, back into the local economy.... this place is an institution and although no bar will ever be the honest pint, hair of the dog has remained in tune with the working man. the common folk. many establishments cannot say the same!
