I ordered the Oven Roasted chicken, turnip greens, macaroni and cheese, cornbread. The meal was succulent,soul food heaven,thank you One and All💯🙏🏽

The food is very good

Got a pork chop plate, tasty tilapia plate and a meatloaf plate, with mine being the pork chops, but all three of us loved every bite of all of it, every time I visit here the food is always delicious

Hard to beat soul food in Chattanooga. It’s takeout-only now (I still miss the old sit-down vibe), but those generous, overstuffed entrees and sides make anywhere feel like the dining room - your kitchen table, your front porch, even the driver’s seat.

The fried green tomatoes? Elite. Crispy, tangy, gone in minutes. And the key lime cake is dangerously good. Its moist, bright, sponginess is worth every forkful. Add in fast service and genuine smiles from the folks working there, and you’ve got a spot that delivers comfort by the boxful.

Yeauhh so they forget my potato salad because they were so in a rush to take other people’s order.. They need to listen more carefully and make sure they’re taking notes of everything a customer has asked for/ordered. ᴿᴱˢᴾᴱᶜᵀᶠᵁᴸᴸᵞ! And not only that I found this thin piece of metal in my spaghetti..🫠 please look closely and pay attention to what’s in your food..& definitely do not eat everywhere.

I came in there tonight to get some food! The atmosphere was like home! The staff were absolutely amazing! I ordered the catfish and meat loaf. This was the best soul food I’ve had in years!!! I will come back as much as I can when I’m in town! Thank you all for such amazing food and a fun experience there!!

Overpriced. Unfriendly. This was our first visit and I had a few questions regarding best selling menu options, which seemed to aggravate the cashier.
Seemingly no appreciation for first time customers.
A little kindness goes a long way. You never know what people are going through in life.
We were traveling, hungry, tired, and wanted soul food.
This was not the experience we were hoping for. Portion sized were extremely small. The Mac and cheese looks and taste processed. We were extremely disappointed!! The meatloaf was not meatloafing.
The soul food was not soulfooding! It's Sunday night, and I was expecting mmmm's and aaahh's, a good experience and received a not so good experience.

Top tier with excellent customer service with laughter and a smile. My husband and I were driving home from a volleyball tournament from Cullman, Alabama and we were looking for a place to enjoy some good soul food and Herman’s Soul Food didn’t disappoint. The food is hot, delicious and we will definitely be returning! The sweet lady that helped us made sure we didn’t leave without tasting some sweet potato pie and a pecan pie to go! If you haven’t tried Herman’s Soul Food and Catering you are in for a treat! This establishment isn’t a sit and dine in, but they opened the doors for us to sit and enjoy our meal in the catering section of their establishment. Now that is customer service at its finest…Thank you! We will definitely be back 🧡.
