Ichiban Japanese Steak House and Sushi Bar

Every time my husband and I eat at this ichiban they over cook my steak. Every single time!!! The Ichiban on 153 is so much better.

This will be my last visit. It says 20-30$ yet it was over 40 per person for us (no alcohol) and one was a child's meal. The waitress was not friendly. And they add their own tip it says for parties of 4 or more they add 18% but I guess it's just whatever they want to do. Buyer beware.

Kid-friendliness: No patience for our kids needing a minute to get through the menu. She came back every 2 or 3 minutes asking if we needed more time. After the 4th time ( 8 minutes after being seated) she told us that we would be skipped for a to go order. We said please do. At this point, given the looks the waitress was giving us, I chose to ask for a new waitress. The ladies at the front desk along with the waitress rudely told me that was impossible and we decided to leave. On the way out, I told her that she was a very rude waitress and she said "bye, dont ever come back!"

I didn't stay because they don't have Wi-Fi can't tell about the food.

The food and everything was delicious but the reason I gave a four-star instead of 5 is that when a person requests no onions but it doesn't make it to the cook's notes, that's a problem. Other than that everything was great.

They have the best buffet selection around!! Anything from sushi ? to seafood ? ?.
Really good food. We were impressed.
Be prepared and go with stretchy pants on.

Food is great, everything is great here except the service towards people with Food Allergies. I originally wanted Fried Rice with my meal like I’ve always had for the multiple visits to eat dinner but I was told I couldn’t have Fried Rice without Mustard Sauce and Butter, which both contain milk, they said it was how the chef likes how to cook. I understand the chef may not like it like that but I feel like you would get more respect from the waiter/waitress’ when restaurants are supposed to help people with allergies. Like substitute or do something to make sure the customer is happy and fed. I told them the steamed rice doesn’t sit right on my stomach but I had to choose and then completely ignored me the rest of the time being there.

1st time they did this, I hope they will care more about people like us.

We tried to have lunch at the Ichiban on Hixson Pike and was treated so rudely by the young lady that was at the reception area. We’ve been going to Ichiban for many years and have always enjoyed it. They have lost a loyal customer forever.

Sadly the prices keep rising and the quality is falling. I understand the rise in prices - and would pay them if the quality matched. Our last visit the filet was not tender. It looked and tasted more like sirloin. Our bill was outrageous and wasn’t worth it.
