James County Cattle Company Bar and Grill

Nice place, bartenders are personable and food is good. Would be nice to see this place advertise better so I that people know it is here!

Went on Saturday night 10/26 around 5:30. There didn't appear to be a dozen customers in the place. My wife asked the waitress what was good there and she said she didn't know that she was new and hadn't eaten anything from there. She left us to look at the menus. When she came back we started to order ribeye and chicken and that's when she decided to tell us they were out of them both. What place called a cattle company has no ribeye on a slow Saturday night. We decided on a Hawaiian flat bread and meatloaf. The meatloaf might have been good if I could have tasted it. The pit to much of their ketchup on it. The wife's flat bread had a lot of red sauce on it and she isn't used to Hawaiian pizzas having red sauce. Didn't even eat a quarter of it. Will we be back doubtfully. Very disappointing because the menu items sounded good.

Great food, live music, pretty cool setup

Quirky local place with good drinks and pretty good food. Like sitting up front in bar area or lounge. They also have patio. The large dining area in back is fine but way too much lighting.

Normally love their cocktail shrimp but was delivered 2 orders of slimy, nasty, old shrimp. Had ordered a loaded potato as a side and was sent a rock hard, microwaved potato. Probably have lost me as a customer. Was in the restaurant business for more than 20 years myself(kitchen side) and have never posted a negative review. Most disappointing food experience in a very long time.

We experienced Outstanding service, and great food. They have a really nice, laid back vibe, and a beautiful dining area. It was absolutely great. I would highly suggest it for date night or a get together. Share a few drinks, some laughs, and some great food.

This restaurant is gorgeous! My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the food (we had ribs) and the service was great! The staff was very warm and welcoming. I'll be back!

We tried this place after they opened. The food was horrible, service was mediocre. We decided to give it another try several months later. We tried the salmon dip. My husband nor I could eat it. Too fishy tasting and had a bitter after taste. We tried the sloppy Joe's. My husband and I each ate one. Lukewarm at best, bland flavor. We won't be back and we won't refer anyone we know here. Great service, good bar. Lousy food. This place won't stay in business long.

We went for a company achievement party. The food was good. The ambience was nice. There were a few things that I didn't enjoy. The grilled asparagus left much to be desired, but the other sides were well made

Great food, great staff.. I’ve been quite a few times and try something different every time. It’s all been delicious! Both Zacks behind the bar make a mean drink. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking to enjoy a great meal!

Just discovered this place. Friends ate ribeye and said it was delicious. We had chicken and waffles. They were wonderful. Disappointed they did not have pork skins. Friends said the pork skins were to die for. Bring back the pork skins.

Love the place until we were told tonight the owner decided he no longer wanted to serve pork skins. The owner may want to talk to patrons before making such decisions. They were great and a poor decision to remove them. Suggest if they want anyone to show up they may want to advertise.

Great food. They only had a bar tender and one waitress so expect for the waiting service to be a little slow. Even though the waiting service was a little slow, the food still came out quickly and hot.

I was considering trying this restaurant but when a friend of mine politely confronted them over some bigoted remarks they were extremely rude and became hostile towards my friend. After seeing how unprofessional they were when confronted with a polite complaint I would never dine here or recommend anyone else do so.
