MAMA YO'S SOUL FOOD

I do not recommend her to book for a venue or event because she WILL NOT SHOW UP. I posted on Facebook asking to see if a food truck would come out for an event my school hosted and she responded eager to come. But then we were canceled on the day of in a rude tone over the phone because she was too busy, and proceeded to hang up on me. We ended up having to order over 10 pizzas out of pocket for a school sponsored event. The next day I reached out to her to thank her for working with us even though she cancelled, and I didn’t even get an apology or any response back. Very disrespectful and unprofessional for a self-employment business. Hope you guys can find better. Sucks being nice to people like this to get nothing but rudeness back.

Don’t be fooled! This place is a gem!! We are from out of town and were greeted by Mama yo and she was patient and explained every item on the menu. We received the food very fast. I consider myself a foodie and I have to say this is by far the best BBQ I have ever had!! I had the BBQ ribs, turnip greens and Mac-n-cheese. My wife had the BBQ leg quarters, baked beans and potatoe salad. We were fighting over the last bites!! If you want something that is local, this place will exceed expectations!! Thanks mama yo!! If we are ever in town we will be back!!

Food was excellent. I had the rib plate with potato salad and greens. Very reasonably priced, cause I got a plate full. I was stuffed when I finished and I ain't a little boy either. Will definitely return when in the area.??

Good folks doing down home classics the right way! Great friendly staff. Fresh food and get a lot of food for $20 plate. I got the ribs and the chicken with dressing and both were really good.

Drove past on our way to hike. Smell was so good that we circled back. Had pulled pork sandwich with slaw on it highly recommend it was delicious!

Just had the best bbq chicken sandwich we have ever had at momma yo’s! Must try! Great customer service and nice seating area outside as well!! We loved it. Also, free parking unlike right downtown! Highly recommend.

Amazing BBQ. We got ribs and pulled pork. The portions are huge. I had leftovers twice out one order. This side were also terrific. Owner is super friendly. There is a park across the street, so takeout would make a wonderful picnic.

Our organization hired her for an event and she never showed up. We called and called and called and emailed and reached out on social media, and received no answer. We ended up having to order pizza for 40+ people. Hate that I can't recommend her to others now.
