McAlister's Deli

I am writing to formally complain about my recent experience at one of your McAlister’s locations. This was the third time I attempted to use catering coupons I received from prior catering orders, and once again they were refused—this time in an extremely embarrassing and unprofessional manner.

These coupons were given to me over a period of time when my company regularly placed catering orders. At the time, the manager informed me that the coupons did not expire. There is no expiration date printed on them, and I have successfully used the same coupons at other McAlister’s locations without any issue.

During my most recent visit, I attempted to use the final two coupons to cover lunch for myself and a friend. Instead, I was met with rudeness and dismissive behavior from both an employee and a young woman who identified herself as the manager (I believe her name was Ciara). Rather than calmly explaining any policy, I was made to feel embarrassed in front of my guest.

This experience was especially disappointing because I was previously very familiar with this location when it was managed by Tyler, and the catering staff at that time were consistently professional and kind. Unfortunately, the current state of this location reflects a significant decline—not only in customer service, but in cleanliness as well. The dining area was visibly dirty, the floors were sticky, and the overall environment appeared neglected.

If coupons are distributed without expiration dates, customers should not be made to feel ashamed or accused for attempting to use them. Regardless of policy changes, the way this situation was handled was unacceptable.

Because of this experience, you have lost not only a long-time customer, but also future catering business from my company. With so much competition in the fast-casual restaurant space, customer service and basic cleanliness should be a priority.

I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that steps are taken to address both staff conduct and store conditions.

The service at this McAlister’s, Jacob specifically, was outstanding. Great suggested pairings, knowledgeable, with insight to what works well together. Service with a smile and a willingness to go above and beyond. Well done, Jacob and the rest of the team!

I tried the sandwiches in this restaurant today. My husband ordered a chicken sandwich, which tasted very good. I ordered a New York sandwich, which was a bit salty. But overall I was quite satisfied. I hope the restaurant can play some music, otherwise it would be too quiet.

The food costs too much, the fruit isn't ripe, the sandwiches are devoid of seasoning and flavor, and there was human hair in my food. Definitely not coming back

I was in mcalisters today and I had the potatoe and its the best ive ever had my props to the potatoe lady excellent job!!

This was a to-go dinner order, and unfortunately, it missed the mark. I ordered a grilled chicken Caesar salad and an Arnold Palmer. When I got home, I realized the salad had no chicken in it at all, and the Arnold Palmer was just plain iced tea.

For a simple order, it shouldn’t be that hard to get it right. It felt like whoever prepared the food wasn’t paying attention. The staff was friendly when I picked up, and the order was ready on time so that earns a few points. But missing the main part of the salad and getting the drink wrong is a letdown, especially after a long day.

I really appreciate that McAlister’s reached out and took accountability. I’ve since returned and my order was made accurately, and everything was great. Mistakes happen, but their effort to make things right speaks volumes. Thank you for the follow-up and great customer service.

Employees Caleb and Curtis are always kind to me and my Door Dash orders are always on time!

We love McAllisters. First of all they open at 1030 which we love. Even if they are crowded the service is super fast and always correct. We have grown very fond of Kaleb. Today when we walked in they told us about a new chicken and dumpling soup. We both tried it and it is absolutely wonderful. Can't go wrong with this choice.
