Dave's Hot Chicken is a popular restaurant known for its crispy, well-seasoned chicken and flavorful fries. Customers appreciate the fresh food and the variety of spice levels, with many recommending starting mild if unsure about heat, as the spice can be stronger than expected. The chicken comes with side options like pickles and honey packets, adding to the enjoyable experience. The servings are large, making the meals satisfying, though some feel the prices are a bit high for the portion sizes.
The atmosphere is generally nice, and the staff are friendly and kind. Several reviews highlight the excellent customer service, with employees being friendly, patient, and eager to help with menu choices and spice recommendations. One staff member was specifically praised for providing quick and helpful service, even during busy times, and maintaining a positive attitude.
However, wait times vary. Some customers experienced very short waits of around 10 minutes, while others faced longer delays, such as 45 minutes without updates or apology, which led to frustration and a disappointing experience. Despite these issues, many still enjoyed the food and plan to return, especially for the crispy chicken and light fries.
Overall, Dave's Hot Chicken offers delicious, freshly cooked chicken in a welcoming environment, with attentive staff, but potential wait times and pricing may be considerations for some diners.
