My son and I just moved to the area and were headed to a hiking trail for Mother’s Day. On our way we decided to stop here rather than just get fast food. I’m so glad we did. Everyone here is so friendly, the food is incredible, the view is amazing. Our server (I can’t exactly remember if it’s Macy or Maizie) was phenomenal. Will be a regular lunch spot for us.
Go to google reviews and see their responses to unflattering reviews. It is perfect because they prove how rude and nasty they are just like the review said!!
Nice evening out.

First, the good. I love the atmosphere here. Reminds me of the catfish fry places I have a great nostalgia about.
And our server was great. Kept us covered on drinks and needs.
We both did the AYCE Catfish special on Friday night since the price point of $2 more than just a 2 piece catfish meal was a great deal if we wanted a couple of extra pieces of fish.
The slaw was good, the fries super crispy. The catfish came in fried or blackened.
The fried version was the LaCroix of cornmeal breaded catfish. Seasoning might have been in the same room at someone point with the cornmeal, but they didn't mix. It was also not crispy. I'm not sure how you manage flaccid fried fish, but that happened.
We tried for the blackened next. Seasoning was awesome, a touch on the over-salted but bearable, loved that Seasoning. Fish still in need of crispness. It was floppy and juicy...but not in a good way. Will try to crisp it up in the.air fryer later, since they were kind enough to offer to take it back to cook more or a togo box when we voiced our co
ncerns. By that point to go was the way to go.
I want to like this place, but I couldn't enjoy the food.

insanely priced for school cafeteria grade food, the people were nice though
My wife and I are new to the area and where searching for a new place to patronize. Unfortunately it won't be here. Service was lacking at best. We ordered drinks appetizers and entrees. The server never came back to check on us or to let us know about our food. When we checked with another server, they said kitchen was backed up which I understood because they where busy. But there were 2 other tables around us that came in after and had there food and gone before we even got any answers about our food. No one even tried to comp or offer to. Our order was never put in. All I got was an excuse. In addition thank you to the owner for your response. I accept and appreciate the apology. We will try again. I completely understand that you where busy and training. The cheese logs and the drifter draft was really good. Just wish we could have tried the meals.
This was my first and last visit we waited over an hour for food that never came. Sever never came to table to check on us.
I was double charged by this place and told I would be refunded in 24 hours. It has been well over 24 hours and I have yet to receive a refund. I believe the server was named Melissa. She was blonde. Thanks for taking my money.
Fish and chips were greasy. I could make better at home. Coconut shrimp was good but basic and once again simple to make. I have experienced the same level of food quality at Ruby Tuesday's lol. The food was really unremarkable, hence why I left it out in my first edition of this review. I especially was not a fan of the coleslaw.
It's funny how the owners were in no rush to resolve the issue until I left a negative review, despite calling multiple times.

The food was good but it's just basic nothing exciting. I thought the food needed more flavor, and the help needed to be more on top of things because she only came out ounce to see if we needed anything. Also, the bathrooms are disgusting, and we came during the slow season, so they should be better at these things.

Walking into River Drifters, I noticed the casual bar-like, relaxed atmosphere. We went to rent paddleboards and kayaks earlier than our reservation and the nice young man at the counter set us up no problem! We then walked down to the launch and set out on our hour-long adventure. It was so much fun going out on the river, something we don’t have at home in Charleston, South Carolina. Once we returned back to the restaurant/base we considered not eating inside as we were all wet. The manager was so kind and found shirts in my party’s sizes so we could sit and eat. Our service was pretty average, but the food was really good! I wasn’t expecing such interesting sandwiches at such a casual spot. Overall, we would probably come back to go paddleboarding and kayaking, but the restaurant portion is debatable in terms of returning.
Update: I got e-Coli and norovirus from here. I don’t think I will be returning to the restaurant but maybe to paddle board and get a beer.

A varied menu and fun atmosphere, but even better the nicest, most attentive staff and owner. We actually visited twice during our stay, as we immediately felt like friends! The crab cake, bison burger, and Redneck Egg Rolls (bbq and slaw)were all delish. Loved Hannah especially!
We stopped in for lunch. I had the Alabama Hot Chick. It was really terrible!! I ate about half of it. My husband had a poboy and liked it. Super disappointed in my experience. And my goodness someone please clean the ladies room.

Super cute hole in the wall on the River! Very nice servers & bartenders. No liquor, but nice selection of beer. Shrimp appetizer was great! We also had the bratwurst special and the fried shrimp, most comfortable bar stools ever, they are made of boat seats! Definitely recommend.

Good food and Brianna was an awesome server! We'll definitely be back when we're in town.
Our first time trying this place and we will definitely be back! Great food, awesome service, delicious locally brewed beer, and prices aren’t bad either! Definitely have to come back in the daytime to enjoy the outdoor scenery!
