West Coast Taco Shop Reviews
We frequent West Coast Tacos at least once a week for lunch. I usually purchase a Mexican Coke for my drink and request a cup for ice. The water cups are tiny and super flimsy so I usually ask for a regular cup. I don't mind paying for the cup but I was charged $3.07 for a cup in addition to the bottled Coke. That is ridiculous. I am not drinking any of your fountain drinks. I don't have an issue paying a small fee for the cup but to charge a customer full price for the cup...read full review
Very good food and very reasonable. We decided to try the place last minute before a flight, and did not regret it. I would go back in a heartbeat.
The food is actually flavorless. Like literally zero flavor. I ordered the pastor burrito bowl and it had flavorless black beans, flavorless guac, flavorless rice and flavorless meat. It was honestly disappointing and disgusting. I only went there cause taco loco was closed.

Based on reviews, West Coast Taco Shop is a solid Mexicali place. The food includes fish tacos (grilled or fried flounder, one piece not cut or diced, with cabbage salad, Pico de gallo, and a good special sauce), asada fries, a chorizo breakfast burrito, and birria tacos that are insanely delicious. The nachos yum are a highlight, described as a 2lb plate of great food and the best nacho plate ever found. However, the grilled fish burrito had so little flavor that the white cabbage was the most potent flavor, and the guacamole had ZERO flavor. Carnitas and al pastor tacos are fresh, authentic, and perfectly seasoned. The salsa bar is a must with lots of salsas, and the pineapple aqua fresca is nice. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming with SoCal typical decor. Service is super friendly, wait time is reasonable, and parking is available and easy. Price for portion is reasonable, with tacos priced per taco at $3.90.
