I used this bakery for my wedding and am extremely disappointed. I trusted them to do a very basic wedding cake with a simple color touch of color, petit fours, and doughnuts because they had so much confidence when I spoke with them multiple times. The day before the wedding when we went to pick up the petit fours, the color of the petit fours and the doughnuts were wrong, the design on the petit fours and doughnuts were wrong and so we didn't even trust them to do the design for the wedding cake so we told them to do just plain white with no dots or anything on it because being the day before my wedding, I didn't have time to find a new bakery. And of course when we got the cake, there were of course dots around the layers like we specifically asked for their to not be. We served it because we had no other options and they barely gave an apology saying and wouldn't refund for the whole thing because "it was edible" and they only do in store credit as if I would want to use them again. This was a horrible experience and I will forever turn my friends, family, and clients away from this bakery because of how they messed up my WEDDING. I would have been better off to have cancelled the order and not had a wedding cake or desserts.

My Aunt got a birthday cake here for my son 9th birthday and she pay $45.00 for it and it was the worst cake every!!!! the cake was dry and there was more icing then cake and she went in person on wed. to order the cake for sat. and they said it would be done by 11:00am when she call around 10:00am they said that they just now started on the cake and it will be done around 11:30 or 12:00

Since I was a little girl I have been going to this bakery, it is always a pleasure. Every time I go it takes me back to the good ole days. All who works here are all very nice. I can't pinpoint one thing that I like the best because everything is sooooo good! Just make sure you get some thumb print cookies!

Birthday cakes from the Village Bake Shop have been a family tradition since we moved here 17 years ago. Friendly people, gorgeous (and delicious!) cakes, and some awesome pastries. I only wish they had seating for a sit down experience.
