Stop to eat there cause of a billboard off highway interstate 40 it was worth the stop delicious food. Keep up the good work! The exit is 288 stop there they offer other eatery's there too.

While traveling home from Spring Break, I was looking at stops along the way for a spot to stop for dinner. A search for restaurants ahead and El Tapatio popped up. After looking at reviews and the menu, I knew they would not disappoint. They did not. It's located in the food court of a truck stop and it was delicious. They cook your order on the grill in front of you. They have many options of what to add to your burrito, bowl, quesadilla, etc...plus if you like spicy, like my husband, they have the good sauce down below. Just ask. He said it was really good and flavorful. The portions are really good for the price. Everything we got was really good. I'd recommend. I'd happily visit again if I found myself in the area and would probably be a regular if I lived nearby.

Wow, wow, wow....so good! We ordered the Birria, and it was amazing! They have a food line with some food prepped, then complete the meal to order. They have managed to create a fast food Mexican restaurant. It was made to order, hot and delicious. I watched them make every order while I was in line, and they were fast. If you are driving through the area or fortunate enough to live near here, then this is an absolute must try. The Birria tasted like it came straight out of Abuela's kitchen.

First of all.. The people who work at this place are on another level of welcoming. I'm a truck driver, and I'm gone from home quite a bit. They always make me feel like a long-lost friend when I walk in.. I still can't believe you can get this level of authentic Mexican food at a truck stop with the CLEANEST restrooms!!Exit 288 off I-40 east in the TA travel center food court. It's fast, delicious, and they are the MOST beautiful people. (Try their queso Birria tacos)!! Exćellente'!!!
