Went to Genes for the first time today. We arrived at 12:45p for lunch. We ordered two large pizzas. One pulled pork pizza. Divine! The other was the Hawaiian. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ strive was perfect. Crust so delish! We will return.
As Illinois natives, we know good pizza—and Uncle Gene’s Place in Cookeville did not disappoint! The ingredients were top-notch, and they definitely don’t skimp out on quality or flavor. Every bite was just right, and you can tell they take pride in what they serve.
The staff was friendly and welcoming, and when we asked to speak to the owner to share our compliments, he came out within minutes. That kind of hospitality makes a place stand out.

We have eaten at Gene's multiple times over the last few months and we never had a bad meal. The atmosphere was great and the place was clean.
So far we have only ordered the 10" personal size pizzas and every time the crust has been perfect. We even got a cauliflower crust to try out and it was great as well. My favorite so far is the supreme with added jalapenos.
Gene's is our favorite pizza in Cookeville.
