Lambros and Helen, Just heard that you have closed, so sorry to hear this and know it was a hard decision with a heavy heart. We applaud you and thank you for your years of service. I grew up in Cookeville and as long as I've been alive Gondola has been in business. I now live in NC but every time I come home with my family our first stop is Gondola for a sausage and onion pizza. Hope to see you guys relocate, if you do I will be right there in line when the doors open. Thank you for everything and enjoy a little down time, it is well deserved.

Overall, we were not impressed with our take-out experience here. My husband ordered the House Specialty pizza (without green peppers), & we were very disappointed. The pizza just seemed bland. There was not much seasoning, not enough sauce, scant pepperoni, watery mushrooms, & soggy crust on the bottom. Also, there are no COVID precautions here, so we would not feel comfortable eating in or ordering frequently from this restaurant. I'm sorry to say we won't be returning here.

Stayed in the hotel across the street. Was just looking for something close. What a great find. Super nice people and very good food. Will definitely go back again sometime.

We had so much fun!!! I the owner, unfortunately I don't know his name, and Chasity the waitress were both super amazing! The food was fabulous.

Everyone was very nice and pleasant, we ordered a takeout, the pizza was ready when we stopped by. A bit disappointed that it was a thin crust, and sort of pricey for the size ($16), but overall, it was a good experience.

First time for us up in Cookeville in several years and we stopped in at one of our favorite restaurants....Gondola's.NOTHING has changed. STILL incredible food. And the service was awesome!Absolutely the most polite staff and the food is just incredible. Glad to see them still running at full steam through all the restrictions and issues every restaurant has to deal with at this time! Can't wait to come back again!

My son suggested this place for dinner because it was within a walking distance from our hotel. I got the baked ravioli with portabelo mushroom and it was delicious!!! My son got the chicken alfredo which was okay but he said it was good. The chicken was a little chewy and the sauce needed more seasoning in my opinion otherwise the food was good. They overcharged my son by $1 on his meal.

Was extremely disappointed with our order. Firstly we had cheese bread, which by definition is what we got. Literally white bread with mozzarella cheese (no seasoning or anything). Then the calzone we ordered had virtually no filling. The fettuccini my wife ordered was so bad we couldn’t eat it. The chicken was rubbery and unseasoned, and the Alfredo sauce had no flavor. Extremely disappointed.

Very nice restaurant, clean, fast service, not crowded during lunch hours, friendly and punctual waitresses. Excellent food. Took my mom there for lunch. I enjoyed what I ordered thoroughly but my mother thought they slumped out on the chicken in her dish. She ordered chicken parm and it was mostly just noodles and sauce with a few slices of chicken. Although it was good I think they should've gave u more meat for the price I paid. Price was fair as it's a nice restaurant.

It is the best pizza in the world. I mean that. I've traveled all over the place, and it is truly awesome. Their house special is what dreams are made of, at least for me. The crust is crunchy on the outside with a pillow of soft goodness on the inside. All of the toppings except pieces of real Italian sausage are under the cheese. There is some kind of ground meat, a uniquely delicious sauce, onions, green peppers, and pepperoni all kind of ground up together in the most perfect combination. I unfortunately have moved away from Tennessee, but whenever I'm in the area, I make a bee line to eat there. Plus I take a pizza home with me because Gondola's pizza is even better when warmed up.

I was in town on business and decided I wanted a pizza so I saw this restaurant across from my hotel and decided to try it out. OMG! What great pizza. I also had one of their tossed salads and it was fresh and tasty. So many places offer pizza that seems like it come out of a can. Not this locally owned restaurant. The crust was crispy and the flavor of the cheese and sauces were just right. I can't speak to their other foods, but if you order the pizza and salad you will not be disappointed.

We had a large group (15) for a late lunch about mid afternoon on a Sunday afternoon. Yes, the restaurant knew we were coming and had tables ready. Various meals were ordered...pizzas, chicken parmesan, a grilled chicken sandwich, and we shared a vegetable calzone w/Italian sausage. It was large enough for 2 people. The marinara sauce was obviously homemade and delicious. Tiramisu was ordered for our dessert and it was delicious also. The hostess said all desserts were also made in-house.

Top notch service, and the food was on point. Best pizza, gyro, and Greek salads in mid state area. Whole family enjoyed themselves.

Fazoli's is better and that's saying something.
