we ate here today and it wasnt anything special. my daughter got ribs and they were so dry she couldn't eat them. it was awful. even after her ribs were taken off it was still $65 for 2 average burgers and chicken breast. save your money. the food is mediocre and has no flavor. Our waitress was amazing tho. I can't complain about the service

I'll start with the positives: (1) our waitress, Dayshawnna (sp?) was very sweet; (2) salad was decent, I liked that they're served on cold plates; (3) baked apples and baked potato was fine. Now to the rest, the "handcut" steaks (filet and NY strip) were some of the worst we've ever had at a restaurant. Anywhere. We were not able to express this opinion because the owner refused to remove himself from behind the counter to ask anyone about their experience or satisfaction. Our waitress was slammed and left us there waiting to pay for 20+ minutes while the hostess and owner just looked at us from across the room?! Neither were willing to take pay while she was handling a much larger table. No initiative to address anything. I didn't want to make a scene by going to him, maybe that's my fault but as an owner I would think he'd want his patrons to leave satisfied. The City of Dandridge is quaint and the people are very friendly.. I feel like the City deserves better. 0/10. do not recommend.

Wonderful catfish and everything that came with it. I’m a really big eater and very picky and I was stuffed and very well pleased with everything including the great service.

We got takeout from here on our first night in the area. Sirloin was cooked well and sides were good! Would go back

Had a delicious Filet Mignon for my birthday on Monday. Cooked to perfection to my preference at medium rare. Thank you Chef! Husband had the catfish, which we both love, and of course, enjoyed it as usual. Service was excellent too, as usual. Thank you all so much!!! ♥️

I would not want to work for them. There is a lady there named Angie that is horrible to the servers. I personally heard her talking very ugly to these young girls. For example, I heard her talking to a sweet young lady and asked her if she was “F”ing stupid many times. Those are the exact words she said. When I asked another server about the lady that was treating them this way, she told me she does this all the time to the girls she doesn’t like the most and that she has her favorites. I came in this Saturday and I over heard the girls talking about Angie firing a girl over being sick. After hearing this I heard her talking down to another young lady. I asked the server about Angie and she said she is good friends with the owner and that nothing will not be done about it. It is sad because they have good food. I do not think this lady should be working there and treating these servers this way.

This place is terrible. I ordered a 6 oz filet medium, with baked potato and salad. The salad was OK but the steak was cooked well done and they sliçed through the foil and it was all in the potato. After I finally got the foil out of the potato it was fair. The roll was terrible. The worst part was they gave little packets of butter and sour cream. I wouldn't eat there again because overall the place was terrible. They charged $38.00 for a 6oz burned filet.

I am fully aware that, according to the reviews, many people love Taste of Dandridge. Regardless, we had one of the worst dining experiences of our lives at this restaurant. Our server circled around our table like a buzzard over a dead rabbit until I decided what I wanted to order. But when my drink was empty, she didn't come over until my wife waggled my cup fill of nothing but ice in her general direction. My wife couldn't even finish her side salad, nor could she finish the catfish which she had been craving for two weeks. It was something in the breading that she said "tasted like Thanksgiving." Cinnamon? Cloves? Stove Top stuffing? The hush puppies were black and inedible. She ate three or four bites before bailing on the plate. I had a cheeseburger that had not been seasoned at all. I couldn't taste salt or pepper, and it would not have had any flavor had I not torn open the pouches of condiments to get some taste on the thing. The burger was supposed to come with fries and I ordered a side of onion rings to go with it. I never got the fries. They replaced the fries with onion rings that were oddly moist when I bit into them, a strange vegetable water, as if they threw frozen onion rings into the fryer without a care about how they turned out. I ate half the bland burger and most of the onion rings because I was starving and my blood sugar was bottoming out. Even so, it was a struggle to choke it down. Did I complain to the server? No, because we did eat more than one bite. It's not the server's fault the food was not good. We even left her a tip because I'm not a monster. It was our fifteenth wedding anniversary and we were hoping to find a diamond in the rough, a cute little restaurant with amazing food that we could keep to ourselves, a secret only to be divulged to the closest of friends. Instead, we learned that the taste of Dandridge is tantamount to take-out Shoney's left on the highway and run over by multiple 18-wheelers. We'll return to Dandridge. But we won't return to Taste of Dandridge. We wound up having pretzels and queso blanco from the Food City for dinner.

We were traveling through Dandridge and chose to check out this local spot. The restaurant atmosphere was so warm and welcoming, and the staff were all lovely to us! We had the pulled pork and the appetizer sampler — all were delicious! Highly recommend eating here. Thanks again!
