“I am from Florida and searched from each town locally from where we are staying in Riceville to find that true southern cooking that makes you remember your family that is gone. This was THE place for my little family! We went 3 times in 1 week it was that good to where we didn't want to try out anything new after a lot of disappointment. They treat you like family and the food is so good and reasonably priced as well! We try to come as much as we can to TN and it will now be a part of our plans to come back to Donna's whether we are here for a weekend or 2 weeks.“

Me and my Husband has came in 3 different times, but we noticed everyone that came in after us had gotten their food way before us, a older man and his wife had asked us what did we order? and We had ordered the very same thing they did, but they had gotten their food first. All 3 times we have stopped in to eat, it's been that way! We waited a little over an hour each time also. But Like I said, The staff and the food is really great! But it seems they need more cooks or something. My husband was furious having to wait so long, so He said he won't be back.“

“We used to go here before they moved n we loved it. We were disappointed that the internet said they are open til 11pm but they didn’t share that they stop serving food at 9 pm. The food got quite expensive since they moved. We went here about a month ago and had the steak tips that we split and got the macaroni and cheese n some sort of root sticks that were like potatoes n were very good. They were out of the plantain which was disappointing at the time. We got a side of beans n rice which was good but these are all very very small portions now and we think it’s pricy though the food is good, we shouldn’t have to split a meal to afford it. So glad that we got to enjoy some singing while we were there also. That was fun. We don’t drink alcohol so we don’t know about any of that. We do recommend this place if you can afford it cuz all of the food we ordered was good.“

“Amazing atmosphere paired with great service and food. This place is arguably the best restaurant in Athens. The service was really what stood out as being incredible. She didn't just serve us our food, but she also gave us the history of the building and had great manners and respect. The atmosphere was fantastic. Being old timey with a pair of newer aestetic, it felt like I was at home. The food was amazing, being cheap and affordable but so delicious at the same time. Overall, this is the best restaurant I've ever been to.“

“Stopped in for a quick meal on our way through town. Walking through the front door, we were greeted with hellos, laughter, smiling, and an overall happy vibe. We seated ourselves in a booth along the grill. We were promptly served our coffee. The waitress was a happy soul. You could tell the staff got along great. The local customers were chatting it up with one another. Wow, if all businesses had this down home feel... wouldn't the world be a better place. The food was on point. The restrooms were clean. What more could you ask for? Stop in, and don't forget to give them a good review, this waffle house is the best in America!

“This place is a favorite of mine. We ate dinner here just this past weekend. Sunday afternoon around 5 pm and parking was super easy. Walking in, the people at the counter were friendly and greeted us immediately. We placed our order and had a seat in a booth in the back. It only took around 5 minutes to get our food, which was completely fresh and delicious. I highly recommend eating here. :)“

UPDATED: ordered fish, chicken amd lobster rolls. The fish seems to be better quality than before. The oil was clean amd the food was perfect cooked. The chicken tenders are now hand breaded and nice portions. Some of the best tenders in town actually! The lobster rolls were minced but flavored okay. The fried okra was surprisingly great. Overall this restaurant has improved drastically.“

“David was amazing and I apologize for not knowing the cook's name, but she made the best chicken sandwich I ever had. David prewarmed our coffee cups to keep our coffee warmer from the get go. He was spot on our every need before we even began to request anything. He pronounced worchestershire properly, without hesitation, properly and smoothly and I feel that feat alone should have attention and praise. We went expecting an average side of the road diner experience but left with an amazing meal and fond memories of such an amazing experience. Thank you Waffle house“
