We arrived for a 5:00 reservation, we ordered drinks and an appetizer and no one ever offered to take our entree order. After finishing our appetizer and drinks we waited thirty minutes and asked for our check. Other dinners seated at the same time, where already on desert. The appetizer and the cocktails were good.
It was a very lovely low keyed dinner. My husband had the pork chop and I had the scallops. We were both really happy. A small quiet restaurant. So pleasant. Too bad we are only passing through.
Fine dining in Leiper's Fork, a small town by any measure? Yes, indeed. Chef and restaurant can hold their heads high for this performance. The menu and drink selection is small, but what they offer is good and well executed. My scallops with risotto could hold their own against anything in the Nashville area: scallops perfectly cooked with no trace of overcooking, the squid-inked risotto both crisp and chewy in proper measure, the whole dish well composed.
