I am extremely disappointed with my recent takeaway experience. As a vegetarian, I specifically ordered veg items, but upon opening the container at home, I found a piece of meat mixed into my food.
While I caught it before eating, this is a serious lapse in kitchen safety and cross-contamination protocols. When I reported it, the restaurant offered a reimbursement for only that specific item, which felt dismissive given that the entire meal was compromised. For anyone with strict dietary or ethical requirements, please be very cautious here

The food was good, but they seem to prioritize online orders instead of those who order to go at the register. I get that most revenue probably comes from online orders, but you can’t neglect those who are ordering inside.
I had to wait a significant amount of time to order, and a lot longer to actually receive food, but online orders were coming out regularly.

I ordered mutton haleem from Cafe India today, and it was extremely disappointing. The taste was very poor and didn’t resemble traditional haleem at all. This was by far the worst haleem I’ve had. I hope the restaurant improves the taste and overall quality.

Cafe India has the best Indian food in Franklin! I typically order delivery from them but I have been to their location once. Honestly the experience was a bit off putting but their food is good so I just order it to eat at home now.
If you eat at their location it gives a bit of a fast food type of vibe rather than a restaurant. You also have to get your own drink and tableware which they did not explain to us when we ordered. They also forgot our samosas when we first went too.
Honestly I’d just order through DoorDash and enjoy the food at home. The service we experienced at their location wasn’t really the best. I like the food though.

I have been coming here for almost 10 years. Without fail the staff is friendly, the food delicious, and the atmosphere is relaxing and casual.

The food is awful and the place is just dirty. The windows are covered in grime and dirt. If the windows are dirty can you imagine the kitchen? Food was underwhelming and old, the chicken was stringy and tough. ewww! The ambiance was very fast food like with no vibe and the place was empty and dreary, everyone who worked there looks sad and stressed. Maybe because your place is dirty and you’re selling bad food. I do not recommend this place at all. Way better indian restaurants in the area. Cafe India is a fail.

Ordered the Vijayawada chicken biryani with some garlic naan on the side. Everything was bursting with flavor! I will be back.

I have ordered from this place several times. I've tried the app and I've called. They only get my order ready ahead of time about 50% of the time. The other 50% of the time you show up and wait. They've never offered a discount or anything. This last time I ordered mild saag paneer but I ended up with hot when I got home. Also, if you go back to the restroom you see the place isn't very clean.

Ok, we went to Cafe India today and ordered the boneless Chicken Biryani and the Veg Dum Biryani to go. We waited about 20 mins and the manager who took our simple order, asks us if we ordered one chicken biryani with bones and one boneless. I said no we ordered and paid for a boneless chicken biryani and one Veg biryani. He looked lost and said ok so no chicken biryani with bone? I repeated what I ordered again and he said ok. I asked him if the kitchen made a mistake and he said no, they are making my order. 10 mins later he sends someone else out to tell us they are out of Veg dum biryani and they can make something else. Now having been waiting about 30 mins, we were starving and upset and asked them to just cancel the order. The manager didn't care to come out and tell us himself. It seems like they don't care about their customers. Looking at other reviews, I think their quality is going down. Don't think I will be going there anytime soon. That's why I'm changing their rating to a 1 star.
Awesome Manchurian, Awesome Andhara Chicken, Awesome service. We love this place!

every Tuesday. Last week, I ordered Chicken Lollipop, but instead I was given Chicken Tandoori. I chose to let it go at the time. However, today I ordered Chicken Dum Biryani and Chicken Fried Rice, and both dishes were soggy and of very poor quality. This experience was extremely disappointing, and I will not be ordering from this store again.

It's good food. I've always enjoyed my meals here and get a good portion to fill up. The service and atmosphere always feel awkward to me though. We'd had their food at Cheekwood Holi and it was so good we headed to the restaurant. It wasn't clear if we should seat ourselves or go to the counter. Drinks are (I think after multiple visits?) self serve but this isn't made clear until you see others doing it. It's also not clear if you're supposed to wait for a ticket or just head to the counter when you're done. We've had different results on different visits and staff seems annoyed if you guess wrong for that day.
