Chai Samosa, located within the India Bazaar grocery store, offers a diverse range of authentic Indian cuisine. The restaurant is renowned for its delectable chai and samosas, which have garnered a loyal following among customers. The menu features an array of Indian brunch items, traditional entrees, thali's, Indo-Chinese dishes, snacks, and desserts.
While the entrees have received mixed reviews, the snack food options have been widely praised, with the spinach and onion pakora, corn samosa, and pav bhaji standing out as customer favorites. The brunch items, particularly the idli sambar, are considered a good value, though the execution may not always meet expectations.
Customers have noted the convenience of having a quality eatery attached to the grocery store, providing an excellent selection of Indian cuisine and exceptional chai. The restaurant has expanded in both size and menu offerings, now serving breakfast, including a weekend buffet. Customers have highlighted the need for clearer business hours to avoid disappointment, as the kitchen is closed from 2-4 PM.
While many items still maintain their authentic flavors, some customers have noticed a slight decline in quality, particularly in the masala chai and sweet dishes, which can sometimes feel overly sweet. However, the recent breakfast buffet has been praised as amazing and authentic, with the Udipi style sambar being a standout.
Overall, Chai Samosa continues to be a welcome addition to the Cool Springs Indian food scene, offering a diverse range of traditional and innovative Indian dishes in a convenient and inviting setting.
