Fork of the South General Store

I was really excited to shop here but I could hardly get around. It was so unorganized, there was merchandise on the floor and it was a huge letdown. I would’ve enjoyed it more if it had been cleaner. Super disappointing:(

We purchased a doll and dollhouse furniture from the store and when I opened it up shortly afterwards, I realized it was empty. We took it back to the store and they were very kind about it and they’ve realized that they gave us the display box on accident with no furniture. They made it right and gave us the furniture with the box.

This store has really great coffee and all of the workers are really nice

Delicious handmade shakes and flavored sodas. The ice cream is made on site! 10 out of 10 on flavors.

Amazing Experience! Celebrated my mom’s 89th birthday on Sunday with their Southern Tea. Food was scrumptious and service superb. So impressed I’m brining a large women’s group in April.

I don't like to bash small businesses, but I'm incredibly upset with the customer service here.

I bought a cologne that I thought was discontinued. This store said they had it in stock. I even emailed beforehand to verify.

After placing my order on 11/2/25, I hadn't heard anything for two weeks. I called them directly and they told me they didn't have the cologne, but did have the beard balm. They would refund me or send me the beard balm. I requested they send me the beard balm.

After no word on 12/1/25, I called again. I was told the post office never picked it up and that it went out via FedEx that very day. I was told I would be emailed a tracking number.

It is now 12/12/2025.

No tracking number. No beard balm.

To be a store that has things for children the lady at the register is not kid friendly. She continued to scowl and give us dirty looks as we were looking around. We left and will not be returning.

This store is absolutely amazing and the staff is so friendly! We have been to Fork of the South many, many times and the atmosphere and staff friendliness is always top notch. The food, you will be blown away, I promise. They also have some very good ice cream! 10/10 recommend ☺️ go, you will not be disappointed!

Cutest store! And Kate was an absolute blessing helping me out with all my questions and favors as I travel through this area on vacation. Such a joy to walk into light!

Ordered food fromnth there last night using the QR code on the table at Skylight bar. I got a text confirming my order. That text said I would get another text letting me know when my order was ready. That text never came. When I finally went to check my food had been just sitting on their counter for easily 15 minutes. The pizza I ordered was a four slice personal pizza that was a lesser than quality a gas station pizza, and it was over $15! Long story short, this place is terrible! Don't order from there!

A great addition to The Factory. The sweetest employees, too. I wish for them long-lasting success!

Love this store especially the new location. Need more signage directing to the new location. Visited the other day again with my family to get an ice cream. Young man serving was fine but the ‘two’ young ladies behind the register were no value added. I recommend each person take and serve orders then get payment. We were a party of 5 another party of 5 came after us and one of 4 after them. Could have moved more efficiently if all were serving and cashing out. Same thing happened a couple days before when my husband and dtr went in to get ice cream. Also cups way too small for servings. No wiggle room. Don’t get me wrong we will return but hopefully better training or change of process should be considered.
Staff in retail are great.
