Leiper's Fork Distillery is a cozy and peaceful retreat situated on a spacious property with a flat lawn and woods. The distillery features a log cabin entrance with rocking chairs, leading to a charming interior filled with wooden vats and whiskey barrels. Guests can enjoy a tour, guided by knowledgeable staff, which takes them through the distillery production process and ends in a beautifully preserved historic 200-year-old tasting room, housed in a dog-run cabin that tells stories of Tennessee’s past. The distillery is known for its whiskey and bourbon, including the Freedom brand which supports wounded warriors. Head Distiller Kendra Anderson is recognized for her phenomenal work, honoring the deep flavors of pre-Prohibition Tennessee whiskey. The store offers various items for purchase, and while reservations are recommended, visitors will receive a warm welcome regardless. Clean restrooms and a pleasant atmosphere make for a great experience. Leiper's Fork Distillery is just a short 40-minute drive from Nashville and is a highly recommended destination for those who appreciate quality whiskey and a welcoming environment.
