We celebrated our 50th anniversary there! Our server was delightful and so very helpful. The food was outstanding! We had the cattle company cigars as appetizers and Shrimp and Grits and Wild Boar Carnitas as the main course! Both were superb! We will be back!♥️♥️
This used to be a go-to spot for a local steak. This time we went and were surprised with the lack of options for a steak. So we both decided on Red Snapper. Bad decision. The snapper was dried out. It lacked flavor and you could pick the fish up and it stayed in one piece. The cornbread with it was dried out also, like it had been under a heat lamp all day. The only good thing about the dish was the creamed corn that the fish sat on. We were both hungry so we ate it but had to mix the fish in the cream corn to have any flavor and to not choke on the dryness. We also started with biscuits as an appetizer. The biscuits were dry as well, the pork was primarily a chunk of fat and the slaw was dry. Overall we were very disappointed with Red Pony. The only good thing was that our server was really nice. I wouldn't NOT recommend this place! Save your money and your taste buds.
Red pony never disappoints! The food was awesome and our waiter Randy was great! The cocktails are good too and very creative
Our server was excellent and the food was delicious, such interesting blends of flavors. They gave us a complimentary dessert for our 40th anniversary and we ate every single morsel. Incredible!! It's nice to not have to go to downtown Nashville with all the noise and parking issues for this level of quality.
Our waiter was great but the food was subpar at best. The noise level upstairs is so loud too even our waiter had a hard time hearing.
Excellent place to dine! Food is always amazing! Great cocktails! Service is excellent! Atmosphere is really neat! 5 stars all the way around!
I really enjoyed Red Pony. All of the food was excellent. The service was prompt, and the value was well-worth the money.
I love their seasonal menu changes- this time I had the watermelon salad which was divine. The barbacoa wagyu was also fantastic. My husband had the red snapper and said it was great. Overall one of the better meals we've had recently and I'm so glad Franklin has this as a restaurant option! I do wish they had a larger "by the glass" wine selection at different price points.
To call the Shrimp & Grits by that name does not do the dish justice. It was the very best I've ever had and astounded me at every bite. White wine reduction with butter, lemon juice, Worcestershire, garlic, and bacon ladled over perfectly cooked shrimp and a dollop of grits to add the creamy texture one would expect. Chef's kiss!
Good and Bad Found it expensive. $25 glass of wine Nice atmosphere. Bought Wagyu and it was pot roast. $42 Attentive staff Changed seats due to air conditioner Would of liked a few more fish options

My daughter gave me a gift certificate for may birthday to the Red Pony. I saved it and made reservations for my 41st wedding anniversary. My wife and I arrived a little early and discovered a parking spot right in front of the restaurant! Wow. Even though we were early, they went ahead and seated us at our table. Our waitress Annie was spectacular. I recommend asking for her when you go. Food was interesting, different and very tasty. Selection of wines was great. We were given a sample of their gnocchi. Very good. Ended the evening with a complimentary stuffed chocolate mousse to honor our anniversary, which again...very good! Thanks everyone for a splendid evening.
A long time favorite of ours! A very special evening for our Anniversary dinner. Ali is a fabulous server. Our meals here are always interesting and delicious! Ali is So very thoughtful and kind! Thank you!
Food and ambience were very good. We always enjoy dinner here. The location on Main Street adds to the experience as well.
Disappointing. The appetizers were from the frozen food section at the grocery store. My martini was heavily watered down with ice. Filet was poor quality, grisly and tough. The wine was OK, but double the price I would pay anywhere else. Overall, looks like accountants or consultants have taken over running the restaurant. Very disappointing.
Had a wonderful time dining here after a show at the Franklin Theater just across the street. The Food and drinks we had were excellent! The service was helpful and attentative. Highly recommended. We loved it and was an ideal way to top off our evening.
