I have no idea why this place has any five star reviews. The food was mediocre at best, the service was average, but the location was terrific, and the atmosphere was really great as well.Vegetarian options: I just know that I had a vegetarian dish, not vegan. I found it mediocre, and too large of a portion for one person.

Absolutely loved this place for our date night! I searched for a date night restaurant bc we are from NC & this place surpassed all my expectations! Our waiter was Alejandro, who was super knowledgeable & so very kind! The manager came over and thanked us for dining with them & was also very kind. I would absolutely come here again & definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone!! We had such a lovely, romantic dinner! Thank you, Red Pony!!

I ordered the shrimp and grits. Good flavors but very disappointed in portion size as I barely had any grits in the dish.

If you want a night out with good food and drink then this is your place. A menu that will not consume you to try and figure out what to try. Our waiter Jay was on top of the menu and service. Great recommendation as to what special to try and the beef cheek was excellent along with a traditional menu favorite of shrimp & grits.

Dining at red pony was part of a special date night for my husband and I. It met all of our expectations. The food was tremendous. Some of the most delicious food we've had in a long time. The sauces and the technique the chef uses to prepare the meals is top-notch. Our server was well trained and fun and appropriately friendly. He anticipated our every need which made our evening feel even more special. The shrimp and grits were incredibly tasty as well as the ribeye steak. We tried the popcorn cheesecake just for the fun of it and were pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The drinks from the bar were really delicious to top it off. The decor the restaurant was minimally, rustic, and made for a great intimate environment. Whoever is in charge of decorating this restaurant did a very good job.

We love this place and their food. But the big table was full of loud drinks (again). So next time we will go upstairs. Really great gnocci starter and wines. Good salad. Fabulous salmon-trout fish and vegs. The Meyer Lemon Pot de creme and French pressed coffee were divine.

We enjoyed dinner in the new addition which is where the deck previously was located. It was perfect. This has been one of our favorite go to places for dinner and glad they're back after the fire.

Absolutely wonderful meal! Steelhead Trout and ribeye and kale salad outstanding, creatively presented, with great flavors and generous portions. Wonderful, cozy atmosphere, and great and attentive service. The best of all was the Meyer Lemon Pot de crème. We will definitely be returning!

If you're looking for a dining experience that exceeds expectations, The Red Pony Restaurant is an absolute must-visit. From the moment we checked in for our reservation, we were made to feel truly special. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our evening was memorable. We were seated at a beautifully intimate table on the second floor, near a window overlooking the charming street below. Our server, Sabrina, was a delight, enhancing our experience with her attentive and personable service. But the real magic began with the culinary offerings. Sabrina surprised us with an off-menu appetizer, the lemon and black truffle gnocchi, which instantly became the highlight of our meal. My wife and I couldn't stop raving about how it was the best gnocchi we've ever tasted. Apparently they mix grits into the gnocchi dough, and it makes the finish of the gnocchi, not doughy, but light and puffy. The shrimp and grits were a revelation, served in a unique and delightful style that felt more flavorful and less heavy than any other way I've experienced this dish prepared. And let's not forget the grilled skewer appetizer, which could have easily been a meal in itself due to its exceptional flavor and quality. Every aspect of our evening at The Red Pony surpassed our expectations. From the warm welcome to the exquisite cuisine, it was an experience we'll cherish for a long time to come. If you're in Franklin, Tennessee, do yourself a favor and make a reservation at The Red Pony. You won't be disappointed.

Wonderful staff and superb recommendations. For a first dining experience, we were treated to the favorites and some additional treats. The Popcorn Cheesecake was so light and refreshing and tasty!

The ‘blow out of the water' experience that the Red Pony promises on their website did not happen. Good food; not great. Good service; not great. Pricey for ‘good food'. (We eat out often and have eaten at some amazing places).
