The best restaurant in Gatlinburg, a spectacular dinner and I recommend the soup of the day, atmosphere and exclusive place
Tommy and Patty were amazing to work with! The food was delicious and I couldn’t have had a better reception for my wedding! If you want the banquet hall decorated you’ll need to do it yourself! If not, they have beautiful center pieces that they’ll provide along with choice of linen color. Myself along with my guests had a wonderful time! Highly recommend for out of town weeding, business meeting, etc.

It pains me to write this review as it occurred on one of the most important days in a parent’s life. Calhoun’s atrium hall was the selected location for our daughter’s wedding reception. I will share my entire experience so others may know what to avoid and be aware of.First I was told the atrium hall would be decorated. I didn’t expect anything elaborate however I did expect it to look like a wedding reception . If the wedding cake, food table, DJ and dance floor had not been present, it would have been impossible to know anything was happening in this room at all. I could have and would have brought some decor from 10 hrs away had I known it would be so plain. I did attempt to bring some items a few times days before the reception but there was never anyone available to take the items from me so I had to hurry and bring them in when guests were arriving. (Cake topper, guest book…). If I could have come prior to the wedding day to deliver these items, I am sure I would have seen the reception room and I definitely would have inquired about its set up and decor making certain my expectations were met. In addition, one individual alone would cast a shadow on our reception event. His name is Tommy O. I know his actions could have been the result of a bad day or a personal crises but we don’t get a re do on this day therefore we needed him to be the best version of himself. His hard attitude was anything but inviting, welcoming or happy. He aggravated most of my guests, was confrontational and gave multiple lame excuses for his actions claiming this was his job. He even threatened to dismantle my daughter’s reception when my husband approached him to ask him to dial down his attitude for the sake of our guests who were all murmuring and complaining. There was another staff member there whom I wish with all my heart, I remembered his name because he recognized the tension and tried his very best to deliver the quality care and concern our event deserved. He alone was exceptional and deserves credit for his actions and quality of care. He was both kind, inviting and despite his superiors bad attitude, went above and beyond to tend to our guests. I pray Calhoun’s will see to it that he is commended and recognized in the face of a difficult situation. The food Calhoun’s prepared was delicious. With the exception of the fish which was one of the 2 proteins we chose, the food was plentiful. The quantity of the fish was not sufficient for all 30 guests to try. We were informed there were no more fish so this was very disappointing. The pork loin was very tender and tasty. The potatoes were seasoned to perfection. The caesar salad was ok as were the green beans but I would select something different on these 2 if I had to do all over again. The apples were a wonderful choice and very delicious and complimentary to the pork loin. We offered beer, wine and champagne to our guests and for those that wanted spirits, there was a cash bar for their pleasure. Again the (name forgotten) attendant was exceptional. He was pleasant and most agreeable as he served our guests with a smile and professionalism. Tommy on the other hand behaved like an idiot. My guests were not intoxicated, rowdy nor uncontrollable in any way. There were all there to celebrate my daughter and her new husband’s matrimony at Chapel in the Park. Out of the 30 guests, there was a 3 yr old, 11 yr old and a 19 yr old in attendance who naturally none were drinking alcohol. The rest were ALL adults (21 years and older). ID was presented when asked and yet still Tommy appeared to have issues with my guests. I hate that my daughter’s wedding day will be remembered this way. It’s disappointing and disturbing but hopefully this honest review will help someone else avoid the same experience. The location (atrium style building) was beautiful and its easy enough to get to it but one last complaint, I was never warned that my attending guests would have to pay for parking. I definitely should have been informed of this detail.
Their burgers... I have no words to describe how scrumptious it was. thank you:)
The food was delicious! It is not easy to find the banquet area and definitely not easy to figure out where to park & if they validate the parking. Signs need to be more clear - especially about validating the parking!
We just had our wedding reception here a few weekends ago and it was absolutely amazing! For doing a wedding out of town they communicated so well with us and everything went so smooth. The food was delicious!
Tommy and his assistant were fabulous. We arrived early. We were told they would start getting things ready. We got to eat a half and early. We really enjoyed the food was really good. Thank you so much for helping us with a short notice. You all are great!!!!
This event center was fabulous! Lynn went above and beyond to accommodate us for our reception. The food was amazing! I wouldn't change a thing!

Wife and I eat keto and had some great ribs and the Smokehouse salad to share. The Ahi tuna appetizer was also great!
Got there late like an hour before closing!Food was terrible! Ribs were burnt, baked beans well I thought were chili. 4 other meals, one being chicken fingers was the only one that was ate. Mashed potatoes were terrible, fries were ok, chicken was burnt on chicken sandwiches and bbq chicken breast was a piece of grilled chicken for a sandwich!
