If you like fish (trout), this is the place to go! Family-owned and run, great service and food and such a nice contrast to the many chain- restaurants in downtown Gatlinburg. There’s also a parking lot for customers across the street!

Hands down some of the best trout I’ve ever had! This rainbow trout is caught in North Carolina and brought to the restaurant FRESH (not frozen)! The seasoning is simple but SO good! I will definitely be back if I ever come back to the area! Do yourself a favor and come eat here if you love seafood! 🤤🤤 10/10

Hush puppies were delicious but disappointed that both fried & grilled fish tasted like no salt was added... Service was great.

We thought this little restaurant was the best in town! The service was exceptional: friendly and prompt. The food was amazing: the grilled and blackened trout were delicious along with perfectly baked potatoes. The trout fritters were also very good. If you like seafood, this is the spot but they have other things like cheese/burgers too that were tasty. Hushpuppies and homemade chips that came with the entrees were a hit with us too. Don’t miss out!

We have always eaten here for many years and it’s always been good but this time it wasn’t and was so disappointing. We ordered the trout almondine and it came out dry with no almonds. The just brought a cap full of almonds and it was very dry, no lemon butter sauce and we ordered the butterfly trout it again came out with no seasoning. It taste like you were eating a bowl or fried cornmeal. It was dry as well and the rice pilaf was like eating boxed rice a roni with again no seasoning. It was an oily mess. The hush puppies were burnt too. For $62 we will not go back. They must have gotten a new sorry cook.

Restaurantji Recommends
First off, if you are a little bougie then don't go. My gf was complaining about the old wood smell & there was a couple that walked in, saw, and walked out. The place looks dark & like you're stepping into 1976.
Aside from that, the food was great! Almost all plates are $22-$24 w 2 sides. I had the trout w almonds, broccoli, and mushrooms & onions. Service was great too! I recommend but only if your not bougie

Today we went in here with 8 of our family members. Firstly we got told we wait 30 minutes, so we did. As soon as we got in something felt off, the looks and the energy. before we even got to take our seats either the manager or owner, a guy who’s bald and is covered in tattoos showed us nothing but immediate disrespect, gave us weird looks because we had hijabis in our group, was rude and treated us as if we were inhuman. He was acting very racist and this as a result threw us off. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable as the freedom of religion is strongly supported in the United States. I do not recommend this restaurant at all, unless you want to be offended and disrespected DO NOT waste your time at this restaurant.

If I could give 0 stars, I would—and honestly, even that feels generous.
From the moment we sat down, the service was disappointing. Our server rushed us before we had a chance to look through the menu, spoke to us in a loud and dismissive manner, and had us pass drinks around the table ourselves instead of serving them. The entire interaction felt unprofessional and unwelcoming.
One comment that especially stood out was being asked whether we had “language barriers,” which felt unnecessary and disrespectful. Combined with repeated odd looks toward members of our group wearing hijabs, the experience left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome.
Customer service should make every guest feel respected. Unfortunately, that wasn’t our experience. If this is the standard of service here, then the restaurant has a lot of work to do. Giving 0 stars would still feel generous. If you’re looking to leave a restaurant feeling ignored, rushed, and disrespected, this would be my recommendation. Otherwise, I’d suggest spending your time and money somewhere that values its customers.
