Loved this quiet and quaint restaurant. The service was just right, and we appreciated the experience as out-of-town guests.

Small place with amazing food.

We brought two of our granddaughters here. They split the butterflied trout dinner instead of a kids meal and loved it! My husband and I both got the parmasean trout (gluten free!). Everything was delicious and the service was perfect! Highly recommended!Dietary restrictions: Knowledgeable about gluten free options

Everyone ordered trout of course, and the food was delicious. Good side salads with dark leafy greens. Chips and trout fritters were very good too!Parking: Small free parking lot across the street, empty when we got there early for dinner but filled up quickly.

This restaurant might have been the only place with their own free parking lot in downtown Gatlinburg. Everywhere else you will have to go find public parking for $20. So it was a plus for us!I was a little worried about the trout being fishy but it was very good and I enjoyed it so much!

Baked sweet potatoe not very good but edible, and don't get fried okra. Fried okra was cold and soggy after being fried. Trout was the one on menu smoked. It was really good. If not for trout whole meal would have been a mistake. Not crowded, service was provided by a pleasant young lady but not very fast, since she was the only one seen working. Maybe next time we choose different time of day. Parking across street for restaurants had plenty of room.

My favorite place to eat in Gatlinburg! Don't go expecting a pretentious atmosphere or a hipster-inspired menu. The interior probably hasn't changed since 1975 and that's perfect with me. They do one thing and one thing well, delicious trout. And of course, the side dishes are great as well. The prices are very, very reasonable. Why wait in line for overpriced heartburn garbage when you can walk right in and be served. I hope they stay right there for many years to come, because if it were to close you can bet yet another unsatisfying tourist trap would be built on the site.

We just love getting off the strip and avoiding all the touristy stuff, we Yelped this place and agree that the free parking makes this so worth the drive. It's family owned and not the biggest inside. We weren't greeted with the friendliest welcome, but we understood that the lady was the only one in the store. She appeared super tired but we gave her some grace! We are glad we did because the salad was good and served in small metal trays with hush puppies and chips with some sweet sauce. The trout too a little bit (we were party of 5) but ohhhhh so worth it! We all got different styles but everyone at the table LOVED their trout and ate every bite! The sides were good too! Great fries super hot! The best was the add on shrimp boy that was so gooooood shrimp! we all enjoyed our meals and were very full! The server came around, we were the only table in the place at one point. She said "hell week" was coming up because they are so busy with Christmas great food! Parking made it! We left her a nice tip and hope we encouraged her to find the Christmas joy to get her through next week!

I arrived after the dinner rush and was treated like a King. I got the Roosevelt and it was amazing. Everything was tasty and food came out fast and hot. I was so happy with my experience and will make it a tradition to dine here every visit.

Amazing food, so many trout choices - absolutely delicious. Our server, was fantastic and attentive. We each tried a different trout and both were great. We loved the fried pickles!! A small family run business, fun "cabin like fishing interior. In walking distance from the Margaritaville Resort. We will definitely be back!
