It's only 8 minutes away, but I'd drive an hour for this hometown eatery! It's not fancy but the food and staff are outstanding! I've never gotten food that wasn't hot and tasty. Sometimes it takes longer for service because we locals pack the place. Yes, it can be noisy at times due to lots of people enjoying food and conversations. This is the best liver and onions place for me, goodly portion and delicious sides. The wait staff are outstanding, warm and friendly. A+++++++❤️
Great place, good people, prices, and portions. My favorite local place. I've never gotten a bad meal. They're usually crowed 11-12:30, 1 PM is much better. Had cajon fried catfish, double mashed potatoes with gravy, southern style green beans & Texas toast yesterday. $11.75❤️
30 minute wait for order to be taken and 45 minutes waiting for food. Some of the food was cold. Coffee was excellent with good refills. The restaurant was not full and the wait should not have taken so long but I saw only one cook so it was the manager’s fault, not the staff’s.
