Excellent authentic Mexican restaurant. I'd give 10 stars if I could. You know they are doing something right when the whole parking lot is completely full just after lunch. The chili Colorado, fajitas are fantastic!
Had a disappointing experience at El Fogon, previous visits there had good.
They were busy and didn't appear to have enough staff on hand. I had to ask someone to come take our order, nearly 10 minutes after we got the menus. It took another 20 minutes for the food to come out.
The quality of the food was not up to their usual standard. The following day, I had an upset stomach the entire day, although I cannot say for certain that the food from the restaurant...

After seeing huge burritos, I ordered a chimichanga (thinking it’d also be big)… when it was brought out I had to question if I accidentally ordered a “mini chimi”—nope. Although small, it *was* tasty and I enjoyed my meal.
We asked for the “hot” salsa and chose the red one (green was also an option). It was better than the one they normally bring to the table, but it was $2 added to the bill for that small bowl.
