I had a great salad to start. The bangers and mash had a great that didn't taste good to me at all, but that's just me. The waitress/hostess was great. The place had a slightly musty smell at first that i must have gotten used to. Someone may want to look into it, though.

This has become my favorite restaurant in the area. The chef does brilliant things with standard British favorites, and without charging a fortune for it. Very relaxed atmosphere.

If you haven't tried this place, you're missing out, everything was great. I hate I didn't take photos, but the sausage rolls and Loren sausage were amazing!!

The old china buffet building has received a much needed update to this beautiful little restaurant called mug and masons the restaurant is decorated beautifully with lovely music and service is wonderful. The food is different from other Jefferson City offerings. The food is beautiful and tasty

The farmers hash is good. I enjoyed the variety of veggies and the smallish size they were diced into. One of the poached eggs was extremely overcooked (solid yellow inside) and neither was runny, which was disappointing. The sourdough is just some store bought texas toast type stuff, definitely not high quality sourdough made in house. The service took much longer than expected; we were told 10 minutes and it was 30, and no one came to greet us the entire time we waited those 30 minutes in the front area; the kitchen is blocked with a curtain and no one regularly checked to see if there were waiting guests and if so if they needed anything. The building also reeked of I don't know how to describe it, dirty carpet and cleaning chemicals? I would definitely never dine in for that reason alone on top of the lack of customer service.
Was greeted and sit down was very delicious I would go there before I went to a drive-in it is a very nice comfortable place to get a very excellent breakfast food was fantastic waitress was very knowledgeable about the food it is a must go to place add breakfast will be going back for lunch

My ONLY hangup is the Neeps and Tatties. I know for their operation hours, and small family run, it's easier to have them fried, but I can't help but be spoiled on mine being mashed and plopped in 2 heaps next to my haggis. But the haggis is better than some places attempts to make it! Only missing the stomach ( thats fda stuff though, and they are grouchy about it, so that's out of everyone's hands)

Don't know much other than passing by. Will try out though!
Found this place completely by chance and what a treat! We've been to Scotland and totally weren't expecting to find a Scottish themed restaurant. So much of the food was spot on and delish. The haggis wasn't my favorite rendition of this dish, but there is so many good things to choose from, we would definitely visit again next time we're in the area.

The food was delicious. The service was good. I'm particular to certain details, one of which is tables. The table felt sticky. The table was clean, but the varnish or whatever was used on the table tops was causing the surface to be sticky to the touch. Maybe it's the Scottish way of keeping your elbows off the table, either way they need to be refinished.

5-4-24 thought we would try your breakfast, waited for ten minutes to get seated, sat another 15 with no drinks offered or order taken, table very sticky, so we got up and left, maybe you need more than one waitress for all the people in there........we will never ever be back...... very smart way to run a business.
