Waaaay back in the 90's, I was a dirt poor CNU student. I often worked 2-3 jobs at a time. I would save my money for a month. Once a month I would go get an Italian sub on dark, extra pickles, fries, and sweet tea. It was the highlight of my month. The week of graduation, Mike had me come in and bring a few friends. The Hoagie Shop is a welcoming spot with friendly staff, fantastic food, and a beautiful new location. Customers love the place, especially for their great hoagies like the "hoagies on brown" that are best when fully loaded. The restaurant is very nice and clean, making it a popular choice among locals. Sandwiches, like the Reuben, are made with fresh ingredients and delicious bread. The new downtown JC location has a large, immaculate space with the order and kitchen areas separated from the eatery, and an outside seating area is being prepared for warmer weather. Many visitors find the drive worth it, with some making long trips just to enjoy the food.
