“We really enjoyed the Mug and Mason. Food was very good, different then what we were use to, but in a good way. Price was very reasonable for everything we got, and you will definitely not leave hungry. I ordered the Scottish Breakfast, had a little bit of everything, and everything was fantastic. I wasn't crazy about the Lorne sausage, but just my personal taste. Everything else I thought was exceptional. They were busy when we went around 11am, but the staff was great and got our meal out as soon as they could. Really no complaints at all and we are so glad to have a good restaurant in town thats not fast food. We will definitely be back, saw some stuff on the Lunch menu I wanted to try. Great place for anyone in the area tired of eating the same thing in town.”
“Hamburgers were pretty good but expensive. In the overflow into cafe they should get rid of large 12? seat tables and not sit separate groups together at one table. Its uncomfortable. Kind of odd a dart board in hallway to bathroom right next to people eating at long tables just a few feet away. It is distracting. They need at least one tv in cafe area. They need 2 and four seat tables instead. Move them around if needed. Staff seemed very pleasant. There was a good crowd there and it seemed to overwhelm them. We think they will learn. They handled it in a. calm manner. It is a nice place. Was a good place to watch Vols/Kentucky game. They have a nice setup and we will go back and try out pizza on a Friday.Parking: Parking on street seems best option. On right side heading west. There may be other options but we didn't notice.”
“My dad and I gave this place a try as soon as they opened after the sinkhole incident. We tried several different desserts from the case and not impressed. I'm not saying it was all bad it just wasn't... good. The chocolate powder they use isn't what we would call chocolate ? but closer to sawdust ?. Canolies are very good. We've had a Gabes burger couple times and its best when the fried egg can be popped to spread all over the burger. So far ours has been over cooked. I'll buy the burgers but I'll make the eggs myself. We've tried quiet a lot from here. A little bit pricier but it evens out with their tamales (pork). OMG momma can make those tamales !! $2 or $2.50 per tamale...Soooo worth it. They only make them on certain days and they like to keep you guessing on which days they will make them so you HAVE to order EARLY....like opening time ? to make sure you get the amount you want and the meat you want. Gabe is the only person I've dealt with and he's just a cute little button with a smile for his customers and if there's an issue he will fix it fast. Ice cream is delicious and he will make whatever you want. All in all it's a good food type of place. 2 or 3 tables in the front to sit and wait on food but while it's winter it's too much draft to sit and eat since the door is RIGHT THERE and people are coming and going so that cold is too much. Like I said...the food is good and the baked desserts with the powder I think is more an issue of what we are used to for chocolate vs what they are used to for chocolate so nothing against the owners or staff. It's just what you are used to. So stop by and order from the menu and try them yourselves and you'll find something you will like and something you will love...just leave the pork tamales for me and my dad ?.”
“Every time I stop in to grab a bite to eat the atmosphere is so pleasant. All the staff members are very friendly and polite. And I've even seen the owner willing to step in and assist with making sure everyone is waited on in an acceptable time. She even makes sure that customers waiting on to go orders aren't waiting too long as well. With both the staffs and owners assurance that every customer is served in a proficient manner it makes you feel as if you're in a homestyle business. They take pride in making sure you have a pleasant experience whether dining in or getting a to go order. I'd recommend stopping in and enjoying your own experience. Thank you to all the staff and the owner for making sure that each customer has a pleasant experience. I will definitely be back on a regular basis to eat. And I will recommend anyone looking for a good place for home style meals and friendly service to come to eat there.”
“Very, very salty. The food is good, sloppy burgers, good fries, but too much seasoning.I never tried to ask for light seasoning because I figured this is just how they come (we tried it 3 times). My parents had the hot dogs (which are chili dogs), but they said the chili wasn't real chili, more like the cornmeal textured stuff, and it was a bit dry. I guess it just depends on what you're looking for.Super fast service and not too expensive.”
“The hibachi is very good here, about as good as any I've had for a "fast food" type hibachi restaurant. Fresh mushrooms, tender chicken, very tasty carrots and fried rice usually all cooked just right.....the best shrimp sauce. Haven't eaten inside since COVID so can't comment on that but the staff is friendly and food is ready pretty quickly.”
“I've heard a lot of good things about this food truck and when I saw it at the Grainger County Tomato Festival, I had to try them out. My wife and I had their pulled pork sandwich which was loaded down with meat. It came with a sweet or spicy sauce so we tried one of each. They were delicious! Neither flavoring was overpowering.Grillbilly has a good selection of various items made with pork, chicken and brisket. Prices are reasonable ($8-$14) and the gentlemen serving it up were very polite. They serve a large area within East Tennessee. Try them out!”
“I don’t live in the area but I had a doctors appointment in Jefferson City on 2/8/24 and I stopped here for lunch afterwards. I have eaten at almost every Mexican restaurant in the Tri Cities area and I can safely say that this is one of the best places I’ve eaten at. I ordered the pollo con arroz and whatever red sauce plus the cheese dip they put on it was so unbelievably delicious. It also went right from the skillet to my table, it was SO hot and fresh. Chips and salsa were fresh and delicious too. Friendly, fast service. The manager who took my payment at the register also smelled really good, not sure what kind of cologne he was wearing but overall this was a great experience and I will be back anytime I am in the area.”
“Very tasty, place is spotless, & service is friendly. I usually order the Orange chicken or general tso's, and it's always exceptionally good! Highly recommend!!”
“Kevin is off the hook quick service and really helpful with seating us quickly. Most importantly had car trouble’s and asked for help from the employees and Kevin came to the rescue offering out a helping hand when not necessary. All around great guy definitely coming back again.”
“I literally stop at this place almost every morning!!! Absolutely love this place! Love how the girls are always so patient with me while deciding what I want lol and for helping me decide and know the flavors! Highly highly recommend!”
“First visit last night and we were very impressed. Baked rigatoni with meatballs for me, and hubby had a veal parm grinder. The food was hot and delicious. We took a slice of cake to enjoy at home......YUM! We'll be back.”
“Great food, great people!!! Love this restaurant.Parking: Good parkingKid-friendliness: Great for a familyWheelchair accessibility: Has wheel chair accessibility”
“Jefferson City location has always been great at getting the order ready quickly, was disappointed when visiting the Morristown location the drinks took a long time to be prepared & the food even longer. Love the Jefferson City location!”
“Best BBQ in Jefferson city hands down. Plus it's the only legit BBQ in Jeff City unless you want to drive about 20 minutes towards Morristown to Buddy's BBQ. It might not be an actual sit-down restaurant, but the food is delicious and reasonably priced based off other restaurants in the area. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the mood for some great BBQ .Parking: Its on the corner right across from McDonald's connected on to the building with cricket, just right past the Domino's. There parking lot is also shared with 2 or 3 other businesses making parking annoying at times smh. A huge tip would be to call in your food ahead of time because there can tend to be a wait, depending on the time of day. The more ya know ...”
