Came back to Tn for my Father’s memorial service and remember the Hogie Shop from the late 70’s and we usually stop each time we are home. I entered the building behind another individual who evidently worked there a few minutes early who turned and very sternly said “WE ARE NOT OPEN” he was quickly admonished by a young lady who kindly said we will open in a couple minutes but you are welcome to come in and sit until then. A Jeff City institution since 1975. At the current location for a year or two. New location...same incredible food! The must have go-to spot for the area's best hoagie. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Lori was very knowledgeable about the menu and shop history. She also had a very warm and sweet smile that was at the same time professional and welcoming. Worth the trip every time! Highly recommended!
We have been here twice and will go back. I had a chili dog and my wife had a burger. Both were good. The burger was sizable. We shared an order of Cajun French fries which were quite tasty. Staff is very friendly and polite. We will be back! Dining room was ample and nice outside patio which is really fun when the trains are going by😊
