From undercooked food to a very rude manager, the only positive was the dessert. The manager on duty should be fired for cussing at customers.
Really like the bar and its bartenders.

Usually their food is wonderful, but for a change I had their Chicken Salad Club and it was terrible. I've never had mushy chicken salad before. I thought about sending it back but it just wasn't worth it. They should just take it off their menu because it brings it down.

I've been to Aubrey's a few times for lunch; they have a large main dining room with tables and booths as well as a separate, good-sized bar with plenty of seating. I was there on a Sunday afternoon, and sat at the bar, which had a number of TVs tuned to different NFL games. The place was pretty crowded for the time (around 2 p.m.), and as a result, the bartenders and servers seemed a bit harried, but in the end were able to rise to the challenge with minimal disruption.
When I'm eating alone, I like sitting at the bar, and this one had 40 beers on tap (including my favorite, Wicked Weed Pernicious). A full menu is available at the bar with selections of appetizers, salads, burgers and sandwiches, pastas, entrees and desserts. They also have about 15 sides to choose from; most dishes come with one or two sides. I opted for the fish and chips with a side of cole slaw. The fish was really crispy, with a panko crust, and the potato rounds were actually more tasty than I expected. The only low point was the cole slaw, which wasn't bad, but was flecked with pineapple, which in my opinion isn't a great addition to slaw.
Aubrey's has some good daily specials, such as the Monday burger and brew special, which can save $5 or more off the price of ordering separately.
All in all, Aubrey's is a pleasant place to spend an hour or so; the food is pretty good, service is fine, and beer and other alcohol selections plentiful.

I ordered sweet potato fries as a side with my “patty melt”. They came out covered in cinnamon and sugar. So much so that I couldn’t eat them. It’s was like trying to eat candy with my burger. I do NOT eat sugar. The menu didn’t give a description of the fries. They didn’t ask if I wanted it on them. My burger was bland. I ordered a drink from the bar and had to remind the waitress to bring it out after we had our food for about 15 minutes. When it came to me it was watered down and undrinkable. I tried eating my wife’s fries and they came out so salty I couldn’t eat them either. No manager check-ins after sending the drink back. We won’t be back to this location. Possibly the worst I’ve been to!!!
Update! We have been waiting on the waitress to bring my wife’s credit card back for 20 minutes.

Took a friend from out of town to Aubry's for the chicken strip experience IYKYK. I was highly disappointed. The chicken tenders were soggy and rubbery. I don't know if this is normal for the JC location but the Maryville location has never disappointed! The chicken is piping hot and crunchy, just the way they were intended. Do better! Greatly disappointed. The waitress changed attitude when she found out I wasn't part of a group of people and that’s when our service went to empty drink glasses and couldn't get any assistance with the food issue. Ended up flagging a different wait staff to help with checking out. I might try to give this location another chance but will walk out immediately if I see that waitress.

We were a party of 11. 6 were children from 15 mo's to 11 years. We were celebrating a birthday. The waitress we had was wonderful. She even took a group pic for us in front of the Christmas tree. The food was excellent. The whole experience was great.

The type of food that’s worth the money you’re going to spend. I didn’t know about this place honestly, I live an hour away but come to JC often and I’m regretting not giving Aubrey’s a chance sooner. I got the fish and chips and it was the best I’ve ever had. I’m already contemplating on what I want next when I come back. I came here because I was reading the menu & my boyfriend loves burgers with pimento/fried onions so I already knew what he was going to order before he did. He loved every bite and my 4 yo ate every single bite of her kids burger which is very unusual. Definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back and try different things.

The place is nice, clean and spacious but the receptionist with the goatee beard is just weird. He acts like he does you a favour letting you in.
Always a great place for dinner & drinks with friends if you’re in the Johnson City TN area!
