“Great people and Good food.“

“I picked up a ham from here for a dinner, then had to go back the next day and get an additional one. I had so much to do at home to get ready for our dinner. After I picked up a few things at the store, I ended up at Honeybaked Ham about ten minutes before they were open. As I was sitting, this guy came up to my car and asked if I would like to come on in. My first thought was ‘Look, buddy, I’m not going to Karen these people into opening early.’ But it turned out to be the owner, who was very cordial to me, and more importantly, was cordial to his staff. So I got my delicious ham, and I got home about ten minutes earlier than I would have. And when expecting 16 people for lunch when you’ve been at work all night, every minute counted.“

“I have never had a rude person. I have been going there about a year. The food is always good. Today I tried to go into the restaurant but my hip would not allow me to step up onto the entrance. So they brought my food out to me. The staff are very polite. It is a pleasure to go to J’s Corner. And I like that they close on Sunday now.“

“How have missed this place? This is a true deli with steamed sandwiches on white or pumpernickel. For oldies in the tri-cities, this is similar to the dear departed Danny’s Deli near Ft. Patrick Henry dam. So happy to find that taste again after decades! I’ll be back, a lot!“
