Stopped in today to give this place another chance and was told they’re out of ribs at 12:45pm! They opened less than 2 hours ago, and the restaurant isn’t close to full. Huge disappointment.

So good. Sliced brisket was even better than anticipated. Sat at the bar to eat, and the bartender was eager to advise to get both drinks and food to taste. Fried okra was a big hit, and so were the pickles.

This was our first visit but it won't be the last! Our waiter, Zach, was personable and had the best demeanor we've ever encountered at a restaurant anywhere. His rapport was friendly, funny and really spot on. Our food took mere minutes to be delivered and he apologized for the extended wait (in jest). We had ordered the chopped brisket platter which was tender and flavorful with a few of the end bits to make it awesome. The coleslaw was creamy and really fresh. The tots had just a hint of spiciness and the baked beans were good as well. All together a fantastic meal with the added bonus of Motown hits on the sound system. Highly recommend this place!Parking: Large parking lot - Cherry Street lot
