Altrudas is my absolute favorite restaurant in Knoxville!! The food is always amazing as well as the service. If you want an authentic Italian atmosphere, look no further! Try this wonderful restaurant for yourselves.
No wait to be seated on a Saturday night, delicious house salad, garlic rolls absolutely smothered in butter and garlic, and generous portions. The Shrimp Altruda was tasty but a bit heavy with thick, herby cream sauce. Veal Marsala was oddly sweet, but still enjoyable. Had no room for desert. Our server, Ethan, was delightful - attentive and friendly!
We traveled from Cookeville 7/2/2025 to try Altruda's. I did not catch our waiter's name but he had glasses and reddish hair. He was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is cozy but also gives speak easy/old world style vibes. We requested strawberry daiquiris but they said they were out of strawberries. The salad was the absolute best.
