Very strange, unique spot in Knoxville. Dark, the walls are crammed with framed pictures and paintings, very casual, hard to find, but the food is great. I really enjoy the ambiance here and would recommend. Good job!
If you haven’t been, Chez Guevara formerly (and perhaps familiarly) known as La Paz, is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Knoxville, and probably in the whole country. I grew up in Arizona where we ate really great Mexican food all the time. Made from scratch, never canned enchilada sauce, the food here is fantastic. The salsa that was brought to the table was too spicy. Ordered the spinach conqueso,, it was too spicy as well. Drinks were good and the California quesadilla was really yummy. A bit overpriced.
