After three nights camping in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, I took a quick day trip to Knoxville and stopped in at Corner 16—and I wasn’t disappointed!
I had the salmon salad, which was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I needed to refuel after several long hikes. The outdoor patio was perfect with a refreshing breeze and ideal weather, while the inside décor stood out with quirky, one-of-a-kind decorations.
The highlight of my visit was my engagement with Jeannie, a manager filling in for the day. She went above and beyond—giving me a tour of the restaurant, making sure my food and service were excellent, and even sharing a fun detail about the décor. She explained that kids sometimes leave toys behind, and the owner places them on shelves—dinosaurs, tractors, and other little “Easter eggs” for guests to discover. Such a creative touch that made the atmosphere even more memorable.
I’ve also visited some of their other concepts, like Chesapeake’s, and the consistency in quality and hospitality is impressive.

I met some longtime friends for a business lunch here because it was close to one of their jobs. We are all friends because we met working in a restaurant 20 years ago and I was meeting with them to go over a few things while taking the chance to catch up. Heaven was very prompt, friendly, and efficient! We weren’t without anything at any point. A manager made a point to stop by and make sure we’d enjoyed everything. The temperature of the restaurant was great, everything inside was clean, and the outside was incredibly well-kept. My food was delicious. Very pleased!

We had the absolute pleasure of being served by Hailey B. during our recent visit, and I can’t say enough good things about her. From the moment we sat down, she made us feel genuinely welcome and taken care of. You could tell right away that she takes a lot of pride in her job — she was professional, kind, and incredibly attentive throughout our entire meal.
Hailey had this perfect balance of being friendly without ever being overbearing. She checked in just the right amount, always seemed to show up at the perfect time, and made sure we had everything we needed before we even had to ask. She was knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations, and everything she suggested was spot on.
It was a busy night, but you never would’ve known it by the way she carried herself — calm, collected, and completely in control. Drinks were always full, the food came out hot and on time, and we genuinely felt like we were her top priority, even though she had a full section. That kind of service really makes a difference in the overall dining experience.
Hailey is exactly the kind of person every restaurant needs on their team. Her personality, work ethic, and attention to detail made our night so much better, and we’ll absolutely be coming back — and asking for her by name.
Highly recommend both the restaurant and Haley if you’re lucky enough to get her!

I will start by saying that the hosts are miserable. There were 2 of them and neither of them smiled, or seemed unbothered by having to speak with us. Same vibe when we were leaving said goodbye.
Our server was friendly. Nothing remarkable but friendly enough.
Food was okay. I have a gluten intolerance. I wanted plain chicken breast. Seemed like a hassle to request but I am not sure why when there are salads on the menu that are gf and have chicken on them. In the end, they accommodated. It was fine. Got a side of broccoli and that was good.
My daughter got a burger. Came out with the slice of cheese just sitting on top, not melted at all. She hates cheese when it isn't melted so that wasn't too appetizing to her.
My husband got the burnt ends appetizer as his meal. It was definitely a small portion but he liked it.
I feel that this place is pretty expensive for what it is. They charge .50 cents for a side a barbecue sauce and don't even fill the cup up. $3.59 for an iced tea. Seems like they're over charging.
We will go back to try some other things on the menu. Hopefully we will get a better vibe over all.

The standout feature of this restaurant is the outside eating area. This is a lifesaver for young families to give kids a chance to get their energy out running in the fenced-in artificial turf play area. Adults can play corn hole if they want too.

Rude managers rude workers had one worker cuss me out so i asked for mananger he came but was very rude and said whts the issue i told him the worker was rude and was cussing at me and he said u be okay dont be a snitch there a very rude place great food bit very poor customer service

I have gone to this Corner 16 on Kroger Park Drive for 2 years for take out. I always ordered the farmhouse salad with roast chicken. As a traveling medical professional I would stop there about twice a week for to go. Service was never excellent but I’m trying to eat healthier so I continued. Over the last year it got to the point they messed up every single order. I would call ahead do I wouldn’t have to wait. They were late about 75% of the time. This interfered with my work. They often messed up my order and did not give me the correct order. They would claim they were late because they gave my order to someone else. They would claim they were too busy, often when there were only 15-20 cars in the lot. I did not go during lunch rush. I deliberately went around 2-3 pm so they wouldn’t be busy. I spoke with the assistant manager several times. I spoke with the manager several times. All I heard were excuses. Nothing improved. They offered a free desert. I do not want a desert. I want the healthy food I ordered. 2 weeks ago I tried one more time. I called in my order. Their phone number was programmed in my phone. When I arrived to pick it up they claimed I had not called it in. The person that answered my call was very rude when she immediately blamed me. Tried to say I called it to the other location. Not possible since I used the number programmed in my phone that I had used for two years. Now I’m done. I will no longer eat there either in house or to go. This is the worse service I’ve had in many years. It’s a shame since I did enjoy the food.

We enjoyed lunch at Corner16. The place is very clean. The food portions are good and the food is tasty. We sat at the bar our server/bartender was great. Good service with a positive attitude makes for exceptional service. The kitchen looked neat and well kept. It was a Monday lunch but I recommend it for a good bite a drink.

Unfortunately this place has gone downhill. Got seated immediately and that's where service tanked. Ordered a drink and took 20 minutes to receive. Husband ordered the special which apparently they were out, which the server didn't inform us. Had to ask for more water after half the meal empty. My salad had a ton of rotten pieces and the rest of the food was mediocre for the price. The server wouldn't stop touching his hair to fix it every time we looked over, which is just nasty if you are handling food. The table next to us had multiple issues from sweet tea instead of unsweet, one person sent back their food because it was cold, the other lady waited for half the meal until she got the au jus with her sandwich. Guess this is another place to cross off the list.
