Group of 7. Very poor experience, sad and almost comical. After almost three hours and every possible failure I would’ve paid double just to leave. Here are the highlights, undercooked shrimp, no silverware and food arrived over the course of ten minutes. The food was delivered, by what appeared to be the manager, who was obviously unhappy that we were there. Additionally took 20-30 mins to sort the checks out and the credit card receipts didn’t match. I spent 15 years in the industry but have been removed for over 10. This experience, in my opinion, was due to poor management. The server tried an had no support and too many guests (they had open tables). The manager appeared once to deliver three plates and never returned. Staffing, support, training and accountability fall on a manager.. I feel bad for the owner.

Grossly under staffed. I felt so bad for the people working. They were literally only able to drop off our food and bring us our check. Otherwise we had NO service. However, the people working were running the whole time and I don't blame them. But it was hard to enjoy the meal without one drink refill and it was a frustrating wait on the check when we just wanted out of there.

Flavorful and well prepared. Carnitas were braised and fork tender. Chimichanga was perfectly fried. Slightly crispy on the outside and the inside ingredients were hot and juicy.

First time eating at this gem. Loved everything from the bean dip to the fresh veggies used in their dishes. I will definitely be back. Lots of options friendly staff and most importantly fresh food. I hope this place survives east Knoxville.

I take my family out to eat every Friday for dinner so we get to try a lot of different foods. Don Chuy is among the top ranking for us. The food is amazing here. The owner was there and He was very hands on and very supportive of his team. You very rarely will see an owner making sure everyone is enjoying their meal. I highly recommend the Don Chuy experience.Kid-friendliness: They made sure my 9 year old son had everything he needed.

Hands down the best Mexican restaurant in Knoxville. The seasoning is legit authentic Mexican. The inside of this place is outstanding. Mix drinks are delicious as well also you have to try their Aguas Frescas that are freshly made every day. And the new Salsa bar definitely came in Clutch. Don Chuy’s ??

Cheese was weirdly sweet and so runny even when it was cold. The food was good, but it was also cold. Bean dip is an interesting choice to pair with the salsa, but it was okay. Salsa was great; churros are good. Coconut shrimp have a taste I can't put my finger on that doesn't really taste like shrimp it's kinda like funk but it was good with the sauce.
