The service and atmosphere was friendly but awkward. The food was absolutely awful. Everything in the chicken chimichanga tasted like it was from a frozen bag. Salsa was nasty and food was lukewarm. We will never be back

2022.03.24 We always eat here on our way through Knoxville, in both directions. And we really miss El Chico Cafe in Nashville. El Chico is often imitated but never duplicated. El Chico has the best food & service anywhere! 2025.10.05 El Chico is still the best! And we still miss El Chico in Nashville. Ask for Sherry a most excellent server!
Went to lunch and the service was great. Food is always good. Had the lunch fajitas with chicken and steak, the meat was tender.

Come here to get table side guacamole. Worst I have ever had . Also the chicken fajitas was an absolute joke Peppers and onions was out of a frozen bag and u could tell. As was the chicken . Chips tasted like they been left out for a week , salsa tasted like high end BBQ with red pepper flakes thrown in it . Will never be back in the establishment period .
