While visiting the area we stumbled across this wonderful restaurant. The service was great, the food was sublime and the atmosphere, relaxed.
For an Englishman in America it was gratifying to find an Italian restaurant that actually knew what it is to be an Italian restaurant. No fakery at this place. Truly authentic with fresh made pasta, delicious herbs, and the PEI mussels were the best I have had stateside.
100% recommend to all who meander their way to this city!
Me and my boyfriend went here for a romantic date which left a lot to be desired. Our waiter was absent and wasn’t very social. It honestly felt like he wanted us out of there for whatever reason. We had ordered the caprese salad with peaches and (painfully stale) croutons, the salty and frankly quite boring bolognese, and the frutti di mare which was okay but needed salt and strangely had very little actual pasta in it, and lastly a side of focaccia bread which again was stale....
I lived in Italy for 8 years, and now that I'm back home in Knoxville, this is the only Italian restaurant that I enjoy. Best polenta and meatballs that I've ever had! Staff are wonderful and attentive. A must!
