Gavino's Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant (Bearden)

Enjoyed a traditional Neapolitan pizza, wings, and cannolis. Better than most for a traditional hand tossed. Austee was a good server with good balance of giving us space to enjoy our food and attentive to what we needed. Was told everything is fresh handmade in-house and I would have to say I would agree. The pizza had a good base with very little flop not too much cheese and just a touch of sweetness in the sauce.

Love!!! Great local business with awesome food!! This is one of our favorite spots.

Being a Long Island native, I’d have to say this place gets my stamp of approval. Definitely the best recipe in the area for real NY style pizza. The White Pizza was rich and savory, and I recommend it to whoever wants to try this place out.

We love Gavino’s! The pizza reminds me of NY style and is packed with flavor. The pasta is great especially the vodka cream sauce pasta (they will sub different noodles if you request which is always nice since I’m not a fan of penne) A good salad is so important and theirs is wonderful they pack it full and even add olives. I highly recommend!

Great pizza! Our party had both the Sicilian and traditional crust. Both were amazing! My heart belongs to the thick crust though.

Place is clean. Good was decent. Atmosphere was so-so. Would be a lot better if (what sounded like a soundtrack to some RuPaul bs) wasn't playing over the speakers. Definitely not worth a 2nd visit

Amazing. Get Garlic Cheese Bread. Get pizza. Get the wings. Eggplant parm kicks a**. Matt’s wall art is museum worthy.

I ordered pizza for the first time and was so disappointed. I will not be ordering there again!
Pizza was over cooked and absolutely disgusting! And it was also very expensive!!

The pizza is good, but I am starting to think part of the strategy is that they make you wait SO long to get it by the time you eat, it’s the best food in the world because you are starved to death!

They move on their own timeline. Order on line, pick up says 5:56PM….your going to wait at least another 30 minutes! Arggggh. Happens every time, and I suspect we will start to find another option. Sergeant Pepperoni’s??? Great pizza there, and it is always fast.

Sitting here in a 75% empty restaurant, at 6:06PM on a Saturday night. Still waiting….

Maybe an apology for the wait? Nah….the wait on that is longer than the pizza.

How is it I paid for extra shrimp and chicken (in one) in my Alfredo and all I get is three pieces of shrimp and four pieces of chicken? $45 worth of disappointment because they want to be stingy about stuff I paid EXTRA for!
