I have to give a huge shoutout to Emily, who helped me during my visit. She embodies everything a small business could hope for in a team member- friendly, patient, genuinely excited about their products, and incredibly knowledgeable. She helped me pick the perfect mix of cupcakes and a slice of cake and even took the time to explain the flavors and seasonal fillings. You can tell she really loves what she does, and that makes the whole experience even better.

Too sweet for me!! Wish baker understood the health dangers of so much refined sugar. I do not mind the butter. The high sugar content makes me slightly sick. Sugar makes people fat and encourages diabetes, dementia, heart disesse, depression. This much sugar makes some kids at birthday parties hyperactive. Why not cut the sugar in half? Might increase sales. Beautiful designs and flavors otherwise.

Purchased a birthday cake for my stepmom’s birthday and it was fabulous!!!!! The cake was beautiful and the strawberry chocolate was out of this world! Customer service experience was an A+ when communicating about the writing on the cake vs on the board. I can’t wait to purchase our next celebration cake from Magpies!

Magpies are the sweetest people with the best cakes in Knoxville! They brought my vision to life perfectly and the flavors are unmatched! We had a traditional cake and a grooms cake, as well as some cupcakes and our guests loved every one of them! I had a vision to have a half TN and half Alabama grooms cake, with the inside being orange as a surprise for my husband (he is a Bama fan) and it was literally perfect with the checkerboards! I could not recommend them more!

Magpie’s Bakery lives up to its motto: “All butter, all the time!” I went today, Saturday, around noon, and tried their pies, cupcakes, and cookies. The chocolate cherry wheat-free cookies are divine, and the pecan pie might be one of the best I’ve ever tasted.
The bakery itself is not a sit-down place—you pick up your treats, which is fantastic—and there’s ample parking, making it very convenient.
The only disappointment was the service. I asked a young salesperson about the cookie ingredients, and she simply shrugged and said she didn’t know. While I appreciate honesty, it was surprising—and a little embarrassing—that she didn’t make any effort to find out. That’s not the kind of customer service expected at a bakery of this caliber. Yes, I am throwing her under the bus, because I’m pretty certain the owner would be displeased with that kind of representation.

Oh my gosh, again Magpies did an awesome job for my fur baby, Big Show!!! Of course white ONLY, NO CHOCOLATE, CHOCOLATE is fatal to animals!! I am bombarded with people asking me who did his cake. Its ALWAYS been Magpies!!! Love these people soooo much!!
Very easy to order cake online, a whole place on their website to order each and every detail needed per specific request. We ordered this for our birthday party at a venue. It was very delicious, had an almost ice-cream delicate flavor. Very very very fair price considering the quality and the quantity. Will be ordering something in the future. You can’t go wrong with strawberry.
