Rocky top dining hall is probably the most disappointing and dissatisfying dining hall on campus. The food is always served cold. They always serve the same food, which 9/10 times is never cooked right. Most of it ends up being thrown away anyway because no one touches it. Half the time the 3rd floor is closed so there is always limited options.

First off, the breadsticks were the most delectable pieces of garlic bread that I done ever put in my mouth. Every bite had me salivating and anticipating the next time that I could engage in a scrumptious nibble. The smell, the taste, the texture, every aspect was DELECTABLE. Will you marry me, breadstick?HOWEVER, we tried this pizza monstrosity thing in a pan from the Mongolian Grill that goes by the name: Shakshuka pizza. The taste was def shakking (haha) to say the least. It wasn't bad per se; it just had bad parts inside of it. Overall, we very much enjoyed our experience here, despite the shock I received from the shakshuka pizza. Try their breadsticks( and rolls) PLEAZZZZZZEHonorable mentions:- Spicy chipotle macaroni and cheese (Saute 3rd floor)- World famous rolls (entree. 3rd floor)-Boiled chicken (true balance. 3rd floor)Concoctions:-home brewed apple juice and milk combo. Only try if ur curious what it tastes like.

I love Rocky Top dining food! Students call it shlobby top, but I find immense gratification in immersing myself in this multicultural dining experience. Every Sunday after church, I bring my family to Rocky Top for brunch. From start to finish, the customer service is pleasurable. Lori greets my family and I with a genial grin, and the robot conveyor belt takes my food into the depths of the kitchen. When I eat from the Mongolian Grill, I find myself transported to the jungles of rural Mongolia. The chicken is always perfectly cooked, one might call it the gift of the Gods to utk.

Helpful, friendly and courteous staff. The food was good and there were many different options. We were visiting UTK & touring the campus with our son who'll be starting college there in August.Vegetarian options: Tofu was an option for the Asian food. Cheese as well as garbanzo & pinto beans were on the salad bar for adding protein.Wheelchair accessibility: Elevator available nearby

Most of the time the food is bland, dry, overcooked and full of unhealthy ingredients. They are frequently out of food and the menu online is simply just wrong. Also, they barely ever cook rice correctly and it usually is like eating little pebbles. I experience digestive issues pretty much everytime I eat at the dining hall. The only good parts are the bakery and the salad bar. It is sad that all freshman have to have a meal plan and are basically forces to eat this unhealthy, repetitive food.

Update your hours online if you're just going to have different service hours listed on a poster once you get here.

The food is alright… if you didn’t have to pay the equivalent of ~$15/meal with the dining plans. This is $5/meal quality at most. Just another way UT screws freshmen out of money, this and the price-gouging pod market on the lower level of the building.
