“What an interesting and traditional menu with both Honduran and Mexican food. I would recommend the Honduran section. The fried chicken was awesome! Pastelitos were so good. The beans and rice were done so well. This may in fact be the true tell tale sign of care and love and attention to detail from a Latin/Hispanic restaurant. If they care about the rice and beans, the other food must be fantastic, right? A family run establishment that made me feel a little more at home as a Texas transplant.“

“Delightful little place. It’s a bit hard to find—it’s inside a little strip mall/office park called The Courts, which is near Target and just down the hill from a hair salon. Once you enter The Courts, it’s a few doors down from the tattoo place (on the corner) and next to Imperio Latino Salon.I ordered over the phone and busted out my rusty Spanish to do so and it was totally worth it. I got menudo and a liter size glass bottle of Mexican Coke to go. They let me use the restroom, which I greatly appreciated as this was a quick stop to get food on a cross-country roadtrip. Menudo is one of my all time favorite foods and this was one of the best versions I’ve ever had—plenty of tripa (tripe) and piping hot! So much so that after eating a good amount of the soup and replacing the lid, I found it had melted later. Menudo comes with rice, corn tortillas, a bit of corn still on the cob, limes, cilantro & white onion. So savory & full of flavor...mmm absolute perfection!I had never seen a liter sized glass bottle of Coke before and it was perfect to keep me going on my long drive that day. Pro tip: bottle opener is on a string attached to the fridge handle. I was dazed and confused from all the driving and didn’t see it lol.I got my food to to and ate at a little bench a few businesses down. It was a weekend day and pretty quiet in the complex.Watching all the women hustling to make such delicious food, I was really reminded how women (especially women of color) truly hold up half the sky. Thank you Toñita’s for brightening my day & my trip! Best menudo I’ve had in a very long time...possibly ever! Definitely stop by Toñita’s for warm hospitality & delicious Mexican food!“
