We came here to experience some southern food and it definitely delivered! The food is very filling but a little heavy for my taste. The Mitchell burger was very rich and flavorful. I was so full that I struggled to eat the cheddar grits which were also delicious. The Southern Mess burger was also delicious but not as heavy as the Mitchell burger. I’ve been here a few times and the food is always great. Some of the seating is not great (the benches have no support and are too low) but if you go when it’s not crowded they will seat you wherever you want. I got the fried green tomatoes last time and didn’t realize they have honey all over them. I can’t have sugar so they took them back and brought me a new plate with no honey. Very accommodating above and beyond. The banana pudding here is my favorite.
