By far the most affordable and best quality sushi I've had in Knoxville. I have no idea how they charge so little for such a good product. Highly recommend.

General layout of the restaurant is ok, staff was friendly. Sushi was served with non sushi rice and was overly starchy/overcooked... We had about 20 rolls and 20+ nigeri and several platters of sashimi. We also ordered appetizers and some of those were obviously frozen/pre breaded and then deep fried. The fish used in the sushi wasn't as fresh as it could have been. To illustrate. We ordered some sushi to take home with us. And properly transported and immediately refrigerated, the next day it was not edible. We will try again with less food to see if it was a fluke... But if you want authentic sushi hundreds of miles away from the ocean in the middle of the mountains, this might not be it...The actual tastiness of some of the specialty rolls was pretty good just a little weird to process in your brain when the rice isn't right...

This place has got me through some hard times (LOL). Whenever I’ve had a rough day or just wanted to treat myself, Tangerine is one of the first places that come to mind. I’ve probably tried every roll here and of course they are ALL delicious.Personal favorite rolls: Spicy Crab, Yellowtail, Pizza, and Tangerine. I appreciate the extra stuff they add sometimes like the cucumbers, citrus, and flowers— it’s very special.The service is always great and there are very nice people who work here.

Food amazing!!! Best hidden gem in (East) Knoxville. Our server was hands down the best, THE BEST server I’ve ever had. She was spot on, even though it was just her during a busy time, she kept everyone happy, glasses filled and was superb!!! Please ask for Cici when stopping by.Vegetarian options: Something for everyone which is perfect for my family.

Seriously five stars all around! Came to Knoxville to visit my kids for the weekend and I tried to find a place that was a good deal with a lot of stars. Man did we do well! Incredibly comfortable place, the sushi was so fresh and yummy and the staff was kind and on top of it. Would absolutely come back, make sure not to miss it!!

All the food was delicious, service was wonderful, and the atmosphere was just right. The lighting is pleasant and the music is calming. The chef special roll is always a must try. The katsu is fried perfectly. I would highly recommend this restaurant to couples looking for a date night dinner spot.
WE LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I can't say enough good things about Tangerine! The quality is always excellent. The portioning and value is wonderful. The care and attention to detail with every dish is on another level. The atmosphere is calm, quiet, and relaxed. Best sushi in town. We love the way they tie their Crab Rangoon with the dough! Even the carry-out is beautiful plating!Whenever we have company in town, it's a great place to eat and catch up because it's not too loud to hear each other.
