This is the best sushi bar I have found in the greater knoxville area. Having lived in Japan and worked as a sushi chef in San Francisco it's not hard to see that Ricky takes his craft seriously. The fish is fresh and isn't adulterated with food coloring , the portions are generous and the presention is top notch. Most importantly, his rice (the cornerstone of sushi flavor and texture ) is fresh and seasoned properly. It's not too dry, too sweet or overly vinegary...
We always get (vegetarian) takeout, and this place has amazing food! The little touches like the flower that they include in the sushi, are outstanding! The miso soup has thick tofu and vegetable leaves, and it's so good! Most places skimp and give small portions, but not this place. I HIGHLY recommend this sushi restaurant. My husband and I have found our new favorite restaurant. Thank you, Tangerine 🍊!

Been coming here for a few years. Truly a hidden gem, you wouldn't think you were getting this level of quality at a glance. The inside has a wonderful atmosphere.
I get my regular. Volcano roll and the chicken hibachi with the mushroom and onion soup. It can't be beat.
