Had a fantastic evening at BB King's bar and restaurant, the food was delicious, with geewt service and the band were fantastic. The overall atmosphere was lively really enjoyable.
I was celebrating my birthday and wanted to go somewhere special. BB Kings did not disappoint. The ribs were excellent, the live music was good, they even sang happy birthday to me. Had a good time.
I had a fabulous time celebrating my birthday. The service, food, music, and vibe was awesome! So good we went back again. Received the same hospitality! When in Memphis please dine at BB King. You won't be disappointed.
We arrived during the band cover charge the I paid for the group and some of my party was parking the car and the hostess made them pay but luckily the young lady who took my money for our group corrected her in saying they had paid . The hostess was not wanting to give back the money until I had to be very persistent. Don't pay the band cover until everyone is there.
Food was very good. We had the chicken and ribs. We really enjoyed Memphis Soul Factory. They were awesome!
In terms of food, it was 3 out of 5, so a lot of emphasis was on the music. There were two bands that played throughout the afternoon towards midnight, with roughly 30 minute intermissions in between chunks of performances. Overall my partner and I enjoyed our time there, mainly because of the Memphis Soul Factory that offered phenomenal vocals. The drinks were sugary and I couldn't really taste the alcohol, which could be a plus or minus depending on what one is looking for. I was just looking for a good time so I was okay with such. The crawfish poppers didn't have the crawfish flavor, unfortunately, and relied on the sauce for such. The gumbo had a lot of black pepper in it which provided a good amount of flavor, and it was an interesting combo having it with crackers. Finally, the shrimp po boy contained a good amount of shrimp which was nice, and the fries side was fresh and tasted good. This establishment is probably one of the most well-known on Beale Street, and as much as it's a Blues club, we listened to a lot more R&B cover songs during our time there, so depending on the night, one may need to pick and choose depending on what type of music they're looking for.
This was a great place to visit it gives the Memphis experience food music was amazing I would recommend this place to anyone
We loved the whole experience. You MUST try the shrimp 'n grits! The band was outstanding and the service, ambiance and overall aesthetic was great!
Was an incredible experience! Loved everything about it...the band, the atmosphere, the service, the beverages, and the food is to die for! Must go-to while in Memphis!
Food was excellent service was great!! Only thing that was a little surprising was the $10 cover charge. Wasn't prepared to pay a cover charge considering we had reservations for dinner but it seems most of the restaurants that feature live music on Bealte st. have a cover charge so just be prepared for that.

I was looking for an authentic Memphis R&B or blues place. Unfortunately, Beale Street, including this venue did not deliver. Not even close. The problem is that Tennessee is a so-called “right-to-work” state and the best musicians in Memphis will not play on Beale Street because the pay is so bad. What I experienced here and at two other places was mediocre bands that were primarily cover bands working for tips. It's sad, but with TN controlled by anti-union Republican Party ideologues, this is what you get.
Great entertainment. Food was good. Our server was good, but very busy due to crowd. Not always attentive and had to search for her multiple times.
Visiting from Detroit MI and came in to try the food, I didn't like that we had to pay $10 pp (8 of us) just to get in then still pay $300 for food Kids paid too very wrong in my opinion
I ordered the ribs, and my wife and son ordered a burger. It's not because they don't like barbecue. They had been eating barbecue all week long; my wife was attracted by the blue cheese, and my son was attracted by the fact that he would get to eat a burger again for the first time in a week. Everybody loved their food, and I mean, loved it way more than we thought we would for a touristy place. Music was perfect! We tipped the band, and got an autographed picture as a result. My son is treasuring this, and he's 16. He had a ball. And, all of this happened before noon.
Great evening , food was very good. Delicious ribs. Entertainment was first class. They happily acknowledged my husbands Birthday which was nice Iconic venue.
